Area Info
This is a nice one bedroom apartment on 56th and 2nd Avenue, the nicest area of Manhattan. Definetely
very pleasant, entertaining and safe. There are a lot of businesses on the streets around the building,
including a diner and a Duane Reade (drug store) on the same block.
Near the apartment there are so many stores: Victorias Secret, H&M, Gap, Banana Republic, Zara, Diesel, Armani,
Michael Kohrs, Louis Viton, Dolce Gabana, KNY, Diesel; retail/department stores: Bed Bath & Beyond, Home Depot,
Container store. There are a bunch Starbucks, Subways, Dunkin Donut, MC Donalds close by. It is walking distance
to the Central Park, the Apple store on fifth Avenue and only two blocks from the building there is the cable
car (free) to Roosevelt Island.
Times Square is also close, as well as the Rockefeller Center and the Empire State Building.
The gastronomy is really rich in the neighborhood. There are plenty of restaurants on the same block or a few
blocks away: Chinese, Thai, Sushi, Italian, Hamburger, Indian, etc. In the same building of the apartment there
is a diner. A couple of grocery stores are on the same block, including a Whole Foods. Many bars, pubs and clubs are a few blocks from the building.
The transportation could not be better. Two bus lines literally in front of the building: One going downtown and the other going to
the west side of Manhattan. A few blocks away there is a big subway station: Lexignton and 59th, with the 4,5 (both express),6,N, Q and R trains.
It is very close also to the E subway line that goes to different parts of the city, including straight to the airport. So it is an option to come to 3
the apartment from the airport by taking the train, saving money that way.
