Neighboring Chelsea Piers is a fantastic sports center with basketball, golf, ice skating, pool and gym right along a very near wonderful biking, jogging, strolling, and rollerblading path along the river. You can ride a bike to the Statue of Liberty ferry!

The area has plenty of kids activities, wonderful restaurants, bars and cafes, shopping. It is a classic downtown Manhattan neighborhood, featuring all the benefits of NYC with less crowds and smaller buildings than midtown. Very easy public transportation to all parts of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, etc. and walking distance to Penn Station, Empire State Building, etc.
