Shitty...bed bug infested apartment
May 21, 2014
Booked this apartment for a week around Easter and arrived to the apartment and woke up after the first night to find bed bugs. Called and emailed Sabrina Carvalho the owner( who has now changed her name for this listing) and have heard no response. It's a scam and I would rather stay on the street.

Worst Place I Have Ever Stayed
May 1, 2014
I wish I could leave zero stars. I found this place through HomeAway, but it appears the listing has been removed. I imagine this is because a couple negative reviews appeared a few months before my trip...I wish I had listened to them and cancelled my reservation. My husband and I booked this place for our anniversary. Upon arrival, we were met by Sabrina's agent. He showed us around and how to work everything. The place had no windows, except for 2 in the tiny bedroom., so the apartment seems very dark. It's an older place, and it definitely shows it, but for the most part, was pretty clean. The couch was full of crumbs and what I imagine to be dandruff. That night, I inspected the bed for critters, and seeing none, proceeded to have the worst sleep of my life. It was extremely noisy, and not typical New York street noises. The radiator continually hissed, the water from upstairs flowed through the bedroom, and we could hear people talking outside. Also, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The next mornings, I woke up and noticed a blood spot in the bed. Knowing the signs of bedbugs, I quickly removed the sheets and found one in the middle of the bed. Later, while packing our things, a bedbug was found crawling on one of the rugs on the bathroom floor. We left immediately. After contacting Sabrina, she claimed the apartment is routinely checked and treated for bedbugs, but did not divulge how. I have yet to see a refund after wasting my time at this infested apartment.
