Area Description
From the outside, Tribeca (the name stands for the Triangle Below Canal, the area running West from Lafayette Street to the Hudson River, north of Battery Park City) retains its warehouse-y character, with many of the brick and cast-iron facades concealing apartments with high ceilings, great light and luxury finishes. The living is great; the neighborhood offers world-class restaurants like Bouley, Chanterelle and Nobu. If you 're searching for a more casual night out, head to Puffy 's Tavern for a cold one or the Knitting Factory to see a band. Hudson River is a ten minute walk as is the park along the river. Bike path along the Hudson is same distance. Whole Foods just opened a block away. Nice cafes. Neighborhoody and chic. All subway lines a few minutes away.
Anything you want. This is Manhattan!
