Large furnished 2BR Wall Street condo (#39077)

Write a review Our party of 4 stayed for 3 nights recently. Lots of space, tons of storage. Great location, short walk to Seaport, Battery Park, Ferry to Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Stock Exchange, World Trade Site. We would definitely stay here again. We loved the location of this apartment, close to the historic Seaport and financial district, very convenient by tube to everything else. The size of the apartment was awesome in comparison to the shoe box of a hotel we would get for the same price. The kitchen was adequate for simple meals, we didn't really do any cooking but only ate out 1x a day which was a huge money saver. The dishwasher wasn't working when we stayed, so if that is important to you you'll want to check on that. Only thing lacking were more mirrors...my daughter and I were stepping on each other trying to get ready to go out each day :-) Overall the apartment was great. We had three adults and the space was large enough. The location is fantastic. Easy to get to all forms of transportations. The only thing that I can say wrong about the apartment is that it needs to be cleaner. The bathroom was not at all clean (mold in shower, floor was filthy around the edges and in corners). The 24 hour Deli on the ground floor is a great breakfast and lunch choice, and convienient. The owner was very helpful and was no bother at all. We had a wonderful experience in New York, the city is spectacular. As for the apartment, we were very happy, very clean, very spacious with two large rooms and all the accessories needed for a good stay. Situated in the financial zone it a very safe and quiet, with a metro linia two minutes by foot and bus in front of the portal. Add friendly portal service and propietor. In short, it feels like home but in NEW YORK. Value for money very very good. I would not hesitate to return to the same place. We couldn't have asked for a safer, cleaner, friendlier place. 24 hour doorman, safe chiche area, close to the port, outdoor dining, shops, close to Ground Zero and Brooklyn Bridge. Quick travel to Times Square, Laguardia, and anywhere else. We walked to SoHo, Greenwich Village, and China Town. Friendly tenants on our floor. We were well received. Owner was very accomodating with our arrival and departure schedule. He communicated throughout the initial Craigs List transaction. He kept his word on the refund. He also gave us suggestions on places to go. Very patient with our 50 emails with questions and responded to every one of them! Great experience with the 2 bedroom apartment (one master which was much bigger). We had 4 people staying there the full month. Two more friends crashed for a few days and the sofa-bed woked out perfectly. The full kitchen had all necessary stuff for us to cook our meals and save a few $. Building (with 24 hour doorman) and area is safe. Area is quiet on weekends and evening, but during the day, it is busy like what NY is all about. Trains (2-3 minutes walking) provide easy transportation to all part of the city. The location is about 5 minutes walking to South Street Seaport, Battery Park, NYSE, the Broadway Bull, Century 21 shopping, also the ferry to Ellis Island (Statue of Liberty). The area has a good mix of restaurants, but it requires a little searching as they are hidden in the within buildings of the financial district. There is laundry facility on the same floor. The apartment offered a good location for our trip, and we also saved when compare to NYC hotel rates.
