Area Description
SOHO is a landmarked neighborhood with Cast Iron Buildings
and cobblestone streets from the 1850's. All the best shopping, dining and clubbing right outside the door. Centrally located to all transportation with both the Hudson and East River within walking distance. Also walking distance to the World Trade Center, which used to be seen from the front windows. Presently you can see the crane that is rebuilding it. Also walking distance to Washington Square Park, Greenwhich Village, Tribeca, the West Village, the East Village, Chinatown, Little Italy, Noho, the Financial District/Wall Street, the lower East Side, SouthStreet Seaport and Battery Park. The Broadway theatre district is about a 5 minute subway ride or a 2.5 mile cab ride and Central Park is one more subway stop and a few more blocks in a cab. Harlem is about 15 minutes on the subway or a 7 mile cab ride.
Clubs, restaurants, designer stores, major shopping and art galleries right outside the door and everything else within walking distance.
This is the heart of Soho with Chinatown, Little Italy, Greenwich Village, Washington Square, the East Village, the West Village, the Lower East Side, Financial district, World Trade Center, Southstreet Seaport, Battery Park, the East River and the Hudson River all within walking distance. Broadway Theatre district and Central Park is 3 mile cab ride and about a 5 minute subway ride. Harlem is 7 mile cab ride and a 15 minute subway ride.
