Description of the Manhattan vacation townhouse rental
Our Apartments accommodate 6 to 18 people.

Our Mansion is conveniently divided into TWO large apartments with four bedrooms each. If you have a group of no more than 10 adults, one might be enough; if your group is larger, then the entire Mansion is at your disposal. (Our maximum occupancy is 18 adults). Both apartments are more fully described below.

1. THE GARDEN TRIPLEX: Our 2,500 square foot four bedroom, garden triplex apartment has an enormous living room with a huge antique Venetian chandelier framed by an Italian fresco on the high ceiling; it has a Vermont-marble fireplace with an overhead French Empire mirror. Look out the window and view the 1000 plus square foot, multi-level private garden with 5 person hot-tub spa.

Our open kitchen looks out over our dining room, large enough for sit-down dinners for 10 or more. The Heywood Wakefield dining set beautifully complements the new hardwood floors. There is a wood-burning fireplace in the dining room, too!

The primary master bedroom overlooks the garden and has a private entrance to the garden, via the spa room. This bedroom has a 25 foot wall of built in closets and dresser, in addition to the lovely queen sleigh bed ensemble. The second master bedroom is off the living room and shares its 15 foot ceiling height. It has an enormous 8 foot by 4 foot sunny window facing south, and boasts another marble fireplace.

In addition, there is a 3rd child’s bedroom, together with a separate family/playroom/4th bedroom, in the finished basement level, with a door and window to the garden.

This apartment also has two full bathrooms and a private laundry, and it comfortably accommodates 8 adults.

2. THE DUPLEX: When first you enter the living room of the four bedroom, three bathroom duplex, you'll be amazed by the high ceilings decorated with a hand-painted French mural, a beautiful antique Venetian chandelier, and original plaster moldings and medallion. The room also has its original wide-plank floors, an antique Vermont marble fireplace, and is drenched with sunlight from its south facing windows.

The formal dining room has yet another wood-burning fireplace, high ceilings, and overlooks the mimosa and fruit trees in our private garden. If formal dining is your joy, this is the right room for you! (This room may substitute as a fourth bedroom in a pinch).

A large, unusual, fully restored 19th century bathroom graces this entertainment floor, complete with original claw-foot tub, pedestal sink and polished brass plumbing.

And a new cherry kitchen with all premium stainless steel appliances and granite counters completes this floor, adding modern convenience to old world charm!

Upstairs you will find an enormous and bright master bedroom suite with a wall of closets, a marble fireplace, and a private bathroom.

In the rear you will find a second bedroom (with fireplace, of course), a third bedroom/nursery and a new bathroom complete with steam room and laundry facilities. This apartment comfortably accommodates 10 adults.

2. THE DUPLEX: (Jan-Dec) - $750/ night (4 night minimum).

Rates based on occupancy by 6 per apartment. Rate for occupancy by 7 or 8 is $100 more; rate for occupancy by 9 or 10 is $200 more. Maximum occupancy is 10 adults per apartment. Security deposit required. 15% supplement on holidays. Until confirmed, rates are subject to change. There is a one-time cleaning charge of $150 per apartment per stay. There is presently no Hotel Occupancy (sales) tax due on private rentals of apartments, saving you more than 21% on your rental.

A WOW experience, !

The week of June 13th thru June 22 nd, four of us were in NY to attend two occasions a week apart, the apartment we rented was very clean,comfortable and had what you would need for convience, close to trains,subway,banks,'trendy shops and coffee shops..'..we enjoyed the nearby park to just sit/read/'people watch' and relax. It was actually pretty quiet at nighttime and other than the NY noise of cabbbies honking and police and ambulance sierins it was o.k......this is certainly the way to go rather than the expensive hotels stays and we would do it again..."In a NY minute"..!!!!! had to put that in there....so thanks again and hope to visit NY,NY again soon....Angelo Guidi,Dee Larocca,Jim Irving,Gina Guidi Irving

NYC trip

The triplex rental was spacious, comfortable and close to many NYC sites. The convenient location made it easy to take the subway, cab or walk to our destinations. Central Park along with many museums were within walking distance from the rental. The owners were friendly and willing to answer the many questions we had from transportation to closest grocery stores, etc. We arrived on a really warm day and it was nice to have the place cooled with air conditioning. I appreciated having a washer and dryer to use. There was a hot tub but it was rather warm out, so we did not take advantage of that perk. We used the private garden area almost every morning enjoying our morning coffee. And again when we returned from our daily events. We all had so much fun and would stay there again.
