Even better than advertised!

My wife and I and our three adult children (ages 18, 24, & 27) just got home from Mar Azul. What a trip! We had stayed in some pretty nice places before (The Atlantis in Paradise Island, Trump, Cheeca Lodge, etc.), but we had never rented a home. I was nervous about being scammed. The owner, Lisa, replied in detail and kindness to my many e-mails seeking more information. She and the property delivered everything promised and more. On our flight home my wife said, "I don't ever want to stay at a resort again!" Most of my family could simply hang by, or in, the pool most of the day, but I am constantly moving. We fished off the dock every day, and rented two kayaks by the week from Marathon Bike Rentals (305-743-3204). The kayaks were new, cost less than any others I looked at, and included free delivery and pickup. We ate out a lot, but the kitchen was well stocked, and the poolside grill is enormous. Two large supermarkets are within two miles of the house. Sombrero Beach is just four miles away, and we snorkeled right from shore there three days. We went out on the reef via boat one day and saw an amazing number and variety of fish and other marine life. If you are looking for a high end vacation home rental in paradise with unbelivable privacy and views to die for, then Mar Azul is for you and your family. The master bedroom suite is the icing on the cake, and no amount of photos can do it justice. Waking up and rolling over in bed to take in the breathtaking view every morning was one of the treasures of the trip for me. I can be a harsh critic at times (you can't tell by reading this), but all five of us fell in love with Mar Azul and have no complaints at all. Thank you Lisa!

Everything at Mar Azul was First Class. The master suite was spectacular at sunrise. The walk through the mangroves was a Swiss Family Robinson experience. We'll be back.

This Home Is Beautiful And The Description Can't Do It Justice. Lisa Has Thought Of Everything To Make Your Trip Comfortable And Convenient. We stayed at mar azul for a week of snorkeling and boating and you couldn't dream of a more luxurious place. It's gorgeous inside and out and has every possible amenity you could desire. The pool is beautiful, the street extremely quiet and the location a 10. The master suite is something out of a magazine with it's expansive views of the ocean, glass doors and windows everywhere and covered porch. A really nice, comfortable beautiful place!!

"A Wonderful Oasis"

We just returned from 7 days at Mar Azul (4 adults) It does not get much better than this. Mar Azul is a true tropical Oasis in Marathon, the mid way point of the keys. It is very clean with modern design and decor, very comfortable, great interior and exterior layout, exterior landscaping very tropical and private. Walk way to dock through Mangroves is beautiful - very unique. Delighted to see the resident Greek Tortoise. To top it all off the fishing is okay right off the dock (caught a few small Snapper and other small fish). Pool is small but certainly enough to get cooled off in. We did swim off the dock during high tide - a little murky but safe enough (watch your feet on the dock ladder - a few sharp mollusks). Marathon is ideal with lots of local waterfront restaurants. We chose to cook a few meals and the kitchen and the BBQ and sitting area was more than adequate (the BBQ was even clean). We were sad to leave Mar Azul but look forward to our next visit. Mar Azul was fabulous!!! We just spent a very relaxing week at this lovely home. It felt extremely private although you were right in Marathon. The balconies were spacious and had great ocean views. The master bedroom was pictuesque and very large. The pool area was the perfect outdoor oasis. My sons fished off the private dock and had fun catching a variety of fish. Lisa took great care of us and of all the places that we have rented she was the most attentive and truly interested in making our week wonderful. Our week went way too quick! We would definitely go back to Mar Azul!!!

SO MUCH BETTER THAN A RESORT!! We spent our 25th Anniversary celebration here and had the time of our lives! We truly enjoyed the beautiful home, secluded back yard & pool, wonderful lush tropical landscaping, and the gourmet outdoor grill. You can pick up some steaks at Publix grocerey store or fresh seafood at the nearby Keys Fishery to make a superb dinner! Mar Azul's middle-of-the-Keys location makes day trips to Key West, John Pennekamp State Park(great snorkel trip), and Bachia Honda State Park(great beach) just a short drive away. Thanks so much for a superb vacation! We look forward to returning!

Wonderful, very relaxing, peaceful seculded setting. The pool and patio areas were very nice and the ocean dock perfect for morning coffee and some fishing. The home was very clean and quite confortable great for family and friends. We truly enjoyed our stay here and most definately will recomend this home to friends looking to stay in the Keys. Only draw-back we found was the limited internet access and while I was on vacation my husband had planned on working a bit. Otherwise Fantastic Home. Only 45 minutes to Key West, what a fun time!!!
