What a truly amazing house you have. We have stayed in many places and went on many family vacations, and I feel compelled to tell you that this house, this vacation was THE BEST. There is amazing detail and attention to the little things which is very rare to see today. The laid back life style really helped us get away and enjoy our trip to the fullest. Everything possible happened out on your deck (beautiful scenery, aquatic life, etc, etc). We caught barracuda, shark, eels, saw jellyfish and were even blessed to get a visit from a manatee. I could go on and on, but work calls. I just wanted to again say thanks for the TLC of “million dollar baby”

Kate..............The house was absolutely the best. We did not want for anything. It was more that we expected. The fishing off the dock was at its peak. We caught every fish that exist in the ocean. That was just the icing on the cake. The pool was immaculate with all the trimmings. I cannot say enough great things about our stay. I know we will be back. I am one who likes to grill so we used the gas grill daily, if not for breakfast, for dinner or lunch. I would love to purchase the house next to you and fix it up as nice as yours and ride off into the sunset, if you know what I mean. The artistry throughout the house is tremendous. You have really crossed the "t's" and dotted the "i's". What a great place. Location is perfect.

This will go down in the books as one of the best vacations ever. Thank you so much again. I hope all is well with you and your family. You will be hearing from us in the future. Thanks again. Kenny Miller

We can't even begin to count how many times we have said "this is heaven". What a wonderful and relaxing time we had at your home. It was all we could have hoped for.

It was very conducive to family vacation! I thought my kids were going to grow gills, they were in the pool so often! We loved looking out onto the ocean, watching the world slowly go by, and observing the daily pelican flight paths! The Dolphin Research Centre was great -- both my kids (ages 5 and 8) thought the Dolphin experience / swimming with dolphins was fantastic and wanted me to book them into it a second time (no such luck)!

The only drawback was that my brother Corey could not make it down. unfortunately, our dad got sick and Corey needed to stay with him.

Thanks so much for the wonderful vacation and I know Corey will want us to book next year so he can experience it for himself.

I've been meaning to write you a tell you what a wonderful time we had at your home in Marathon. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. And the weather was perfect. I'm sorry this is so late but I'm in the roofing manufacturing business and I've been on the dead run since coming off vacation with all the storms.Jeff's Boats was great and all your recommendations were excellent. Again --Thanks for a great house and vacation....will we most deffiently be back next year.

Dear Kate,

My husband and I (and our boys) want to thank you so much for sharing your little slice of paradise with us. As it says in the house, "If you're lucky enough to live on the water, you're lucky enough." You bet!!!! We miss waking up to those gorgeous sunrises and saying good-bye to the day with the most spectacular sunsets we've ever seen. And we've seen some doozies! I took a photo of one of the sunsets from the house which I'd like to send to you. I think you'll enjoy it!

The house was really perfect.

We had perfect weather and the fishing was great! With a chum bag hanging off of the dock, the boys could catch mangrove snapper at will! We even saw some lobster under the dock as well as a big green eel living in the rocks right next to it. Combine that with seeing rays jumping out of the water, shark fins cruising toward the Vaca Cut around sunset and some spectacular birds, the week was a real naturalists dream!

Unfortunately, we didn't get to go out with Tom, but we met him and he is very, very nice! Right when he arrived at the house, my oldest son caught a puffer, and Tom got it to do its puffing thing. Hilarious! We did go out with a charter company working out of Key Colony on two separate days and really had a blast! We went out with Main Attraction charters and loved Billy (the captain of our boat) and Ariel (his mate). The boat was beautiful, the guys were incredibly personable and great with the boys, and they really knew how to find the fish! I would recommend them in a heartbeat! Let's just say we ate lots of our fish while we were there (thank goodness the restaurants cook your catch since I was determined to eat out each night) and we'll be eating snapper and mackerel for months here in Jersey!

We ate at Castaway the first night which is a really interesting old place in a very odd spot, but we loved it! Annette's got our business on two nights. The first night they grilled our HUGE yellow jack to perfection and the second night was Thanksgiving since Annette herself was willing to squeeze us in. We saved Barracuda Grill for our last night and it was truly wonderful. My son drew a barracuda on the tablecloth and our server brought out the chef to look at it. Apparently they have a framed picture of a barracuda that Wyland drew on a tablecloth when he ate there, and she said my son's was better. The chef agreed, so we all got a laugh out of that! Nice people, delicious food and cozy atmosphere.

Anyway, I'm really going on too long here, but I think you get the idea that we love your house and love Marathon! Besides all of the fish and the many pictures, we will carry the memories of this trip for years to come! Thanks so much, Kate.

Kate.. I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know what a wonderful house you have !!! We had, with-out-a-doubt, the most relaxing trip that we have had in 10 years. The house is so “tastefully” done, but also very “homey”. We would love to rent it again next summer. Thanks for a great week !!!

We had a great time at your house the week of the 19th. Everything was just as advertised, if not better. We were very fortunate to have great weather all week. Thanks for reconditions on restaurants. We all gained weight. The only disappointment was the fishing was not good off the dock. But I understand the water temperature was just starting to rise and the bait shop indicated it was just turning on.
Anyway thank you for providing us a great vacation home.

Dear Kathleen-

I received your note with the enclosed deposit. I have been meaning to
communicate with you to let you know what a wonderful time we had at
your home last week.
The place is beautiful. I don't know if you did the interior design on
your own or had it done professionally but bravo to whoever was able to
make the place so homey, relaxing, consistent in it's design and feel,
etc. The place had everything we needed. the kitchen was well
equipped. I made a couple of (if I do say so myself) fabulous meals.
Fortunately it wasn't until our last night that we found the honey
buns at the Castaway restaurant or we probably would have ended up
eating every meal there! We went swimming with the dolphins at the
dolphin research center, took a day trip to Key West and otherwise just
enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of your home. Thank you for sharing
it with us. I only get to vacation every-other xmas or else I would
certainly reserve again for next year!

hope you had as relaxing a holidays as our family did!
