Castaway is a 2 bedroom 2 bath ocean view waterfront home in Marathon, Florida keys.
The home has been extensively remodeled. It is fully furnished and includes a living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. It contains such deluxe features as skylights, picture window, naturaly finished woodwork, recessed lighting, chilled filtered water, French doors, stainless appliances, marble tiled master bath and granite countertops.

The master bedroom contains a queen size bed, full size in the guest room and has sleeping room for 2 on the queen size convertible bed in the living room. It has air conditioning and heating, new appliances, ceiling fans in every room, new laundry equipment and satellite TV in the living room and master bedroom.

There is direct 5 minute deep water access to both the ocean and gulf right from our 65 ft long dock. The dock has low voltage lighting, fresh water, 30 amp power for larger boats, several rod holders and a fish cleaning station.
Fishing is excellent right from our dock. The dockside is east facing and shaded during the afternoons and evenings for comfortable dockside dining/partying. The canal flows through to Vaca Cut so the water quality is excellent for swimming right from the dock.

The waterside patio contains the gas grill, charcoal smoker and wood fireplace.

This area is a world renowned fishing, boating, diving and snorkeling area and all these activities are available locally via charter operators. A package of information and sites developed from 20 plus years of local experience is included.

The home is located in Marathon, Key Vaca, near mile marker 52 on the Overseas Highway , centrally located between Key West and the mainland and in easy reach of attractions such as Key West, Miami and South Beach, Disney World, the Kennedy Space Center, St Augustine and the Everglades / 1000 islands area. Locally, Sombrero Beach, Sombrero Reef, the Dolphin Research Center and the sunrise/sunsets viewed from the Seven Mile Bridge attract thousands of visitors annually.There are many excellent local restaurants, a couple within walking distance, all within easy driving distance. Churches, supermarkets and pharmacies are also located on the island.

This was a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! The whole family had a great time. From the views to the easy open water access, it was wonderful! The neighbors and entire neighborhood was kind and welcoming. Inside, there was a wonderful working kitchen and plenty of space for a family of six(plus two jack russells) Thank you for the wonderful get-a-way experience!
