Description of the Marathon vacation home rental

A single family home on stilts. Balcony with a beatiful ocean view and small ramp for jet ski or small dingy. Five minute to the beach by car or jet ski. Three bedrooms two with queen beds and one with 2 twin beds. There are flat screen tvs in all rooms with all the paid movie channels for your viewing pleasure. Bottom of the house has plenty of parking plus a gas grill ready for those steaks and a beautiful pool to swim in. The home has undergone alot of improvements such as under the house concrete has been poured and painted and its great to eat and just relax by the new pool. New patio furniture by the grill and a complimentary bottle of wine when you arive.

Area Information

Five minutes from the airport and all your major shopping (Publix, Winn Dixie, Kmart, CVS etc). Key West is only 45 minutes away to a great night life full of adventure. Golf, fishing, boat tours and much more. The Island Tiki Bar is a great. The view is beatiful an excellent dining experience, mile marker 54 bayside, Los Tainos,authentic cuban cuisine mile marker 53 and the Barracuda Grill mile marker 49.5 all with great food and atmoshere. Sombrero Country club for a day playing golf. Dolphin Research Center if you want to swim and play with the dolphins.

Spotless

We have been renting in the Keys for 10 years and this home was THEE best! It was spotless! I could not have asked for a better house. The street was quiet (third house from the ocean) and there were very few neighbors. A couple directly across the street were friendly.The kitchen was the best equipped I have ever seen. There were plenty of towels and sheets.The pool was sparkling. We did use it a few days (was cool while we were there). I have nothing but good things to say about this house.Thanks to Lucy and Leonel for sharing your home.

A wonderful home away from home where we will always have the sweetest memories of these 4 weeks, getting to know the Keys, there is a lot of very interesting things to see and do, and spending a very warm time with our family. The home is very clean, tons of linens , good beds and a very well equipped kitchen. The landlady deserves a special cudo as she was somehow able to make the loud generator/building noises next door stop for all these 4 weeks and was extremely attentive to all our needs. The balcony was our dining room. The beaches in the area are second to none and the sunsets look almost artificial on the pictures. Last but not least : the price for this house was affordable, a 10 out of 10 for us !!

We stayed at the Marathon Magic for a month and found this home to be well cared for with eveything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable home away from home. The owners were excellent to rent from and helpful with suggestions on places to eat and see. The funishings were all excellent with a wonderful patio and pool area. We all would definately recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay in the middle Keys!

Cozy & quiet

A very comfortable home with every amenity, including very attentive (but not intrusive) owners who responded to our every need. We especially enjoyed the backyard pool and easy access to nearby cycling trails. And, given the unusually cold weather this past winter, the movie channels were also a very big hit.

Cold but comfy

We shared Marathon Magic with another couple from the 1st of January until the end of March. When one uses the Internet to decide on a rental it is always hold your breath time when you arrive. Not Marathon Magic. It was everything advertised and more. We wanted for nothing. In addition, the owners were wonderful. When they came to clean the pool every week - not that it got a lot of use this winter - they would put right any little thing that needed doing. They were very attentive to detail. Yes, it was one of the coldest winters on record in Florida and the wind did not help but there was heat when we needed it and A/C for the few days the other way. My wife and I would not hesitate to recommend this rental.

A:We are five minutes away from Winn Dixie, Publec, Kmart and 5 minutes to Sombrero Beach for a great walk early in the morning or a barbecue for lunch!
