Description of the Marathon vacation home rental

New home with wide open view of the Gulf of Mexico. 3 Bedroom 3 bath, pool home - perfect for three couples or a family. As close as you can get to the 7-mile bridge for great sunsets and quick boating access for bridge fishing or the oceanside. Fabulous views of the open water from the living, dining and kitchen areas and porches. Relax on the living room porch overlooking the pool and Gulf, a great spot to toast the sunset. The master bedroom on the 3rd level has panoramic views of the bridge and the open water. The cut in boat basin is perfect for most boating needs. Ladder access to the water for ease of swimming. Want freshwater swimming instead? You can't beat the unit's private swimming pool as a great spot to cool off and enjoy the open water views - 3 outdoor decks plus a waterfront pool patio.

Tile floors throughout the living areas, carpet in the bedrooms. All bedrooms with private bathroom with roman tub shower.

Beautiful well appointed kitchen, stainless steel appliances and all the cookware and dinnerware for that special dinner.

Outdoor patio with comforable seating, grill, pool, fish cleaning table and one of the best views in the the keys. Fish, swim, snorkel right from the dock.

Bringing your boat - we can accommodate boats under 30' in length, less than 9' width in a protected cut-in boat slip.

Area Information

This home is located in "Old Marathon" at the endo of a small quiet street a short walk from area bars and restaurants.

Looking for a great beach - this home is close to 4 of the most beautiful beaches in the Keys. Sombrero Beach is less than 1.5 miles away or enjoy one of three beaches at Bahia Honda State Park approximately 8 miles away on the other side of 7-mile bridge.

Fisherman and divers enjoy quick access to both the Gulf and Atlantic side in just minutes via the 8-mile bridge. Clean your fish on our fish cleaning table and store your catch, bait and ice in our outdoor fish freezer.

Wonderful!!

We stayed at this house for a week. It was perfect. The bedrooms were a nice size and having 3 bathrooms was a huge plus! We rented a boat for the entire week and kept it right at the dock. It was so close to the 7 mile bridge which was perfect for tarpon fishing. The views were beautiful, we all agreed we would rent again!

Summer Family Vacation

We just got back from our annual trip to the Keys. Our preference has been to stay on Marathon for the past 4 years and at this point I am not sure if we will ever stray from that decision. Every year we rent a different place with another family (between us we have a 17, 16, 13, and 12 year old). 2012 was my turn to find our place…and I must say everyone was impressed. The house worked out so well for sleeping and living arrangements but the best part was access to all the Keys has too offer. Spending the day on the water is tiring but having the boat slip right out the back door was perfect. The pool was a nice change from all the salt water and the sunsets were spectacular each evening. The house had the coldest A/C and fans in every room (which was a plus for me). Having 3 bathrooms for that amount of people was nice and being able to leave all our water equipment inside on the bottom level was nice. We utilized the bikes (my husband rode one every morning to get Cuban coffee, and the 7 mile bridge is a nice short ride away), the kids took out the Kayak a few times (once to try and catch up to a Loggerhead just outside…it was too fast). We fished off the back; a few fish as well as a small shark were caught and even a huge spider crab. Joe & Mary were helpful and gave us useful information on the area, and the Debbie (cleaning lady) was super nice on our day of arrival. We are already booked for next year breaking our tradition of a new place each year! We all highly recommend this home for families as well as 2-3 couples…and Lazy Days restraint across US1 on the Atlantic side (yum!)

awesome get away

Spent a week with the family and had a great time, the home is conveniently located and close to plenty of restaurants. Very comfortable and clean. WE brought out boat and the location was perfect for fishing, diving and tubing. We managed to catch small tarpon and hooked a few big ones right off the dock. Recommend this home for an active family vacation. Joe the owner was great to deal with and was always available.

Beautiful home - Great location

This place was perfect in every way. The house was clean and nicely furnished. We had three couples on our visit and having a seperate bathroom for each couple was so convenient. We greatly enjoyed being located directly on the gulf and we used the kayak, fished and snorkeled from the dock and were even visited by a manatee! The location was wonderful - close to everything we needed with many restaurants and shops in walking distance. We went on a fishing charter with Sea Squared Charters which was practically right next door and all had a great time. We spent our evenings on the patio and enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night. The rental manager and Joe and Mary were excellent to work with and always responded promptly. A five-star rating here is well deserved and we would definitely rent this location again if we are back in Marathon.

Wonderful Family Retreat

This was our 4th year in Marathon and the best location we ever had. There were 6 adults and a 20 month old. It was really great to walk to at least 6 restaurants and the Seven Mile Bridge. The 3 bedrooms and 3 baths were great and the balcony off the living room was a great place to have coffee in the morning and watch the manatees and dolphins right off our dock. Our grandson loved the pool and kayaking with his parents. We are coming back next year. Thanks Joe and Mary for a wonderful family vacation

Great Spot to Kick Back

The home and area were a great place to relax and enjoy the gulf views. Yet you are close enough to enjoy what Key West has to offer. The home was perfectly clean,bright and airy.Perfect for two couples or family. There are several restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The kyak was a nice feature to enjoy some time on the water.We hope to be back this next year. When you are in the area try the by-plane ride.The views of the gulf and seven mile bridge are amazing.

This house has unbelievable views , and a prime location.. The house was clean and well kept, except for a small ant problem( that I noticed was happening all over the keys).. The owner and management team were easy to get a hold of and were very accommodating... Over all this was a very pleasant experience, and I will 100% stay at this house again.

Key Largo's Finest

This place was perfect for us. We had plenty of space for 2 families, the views were spectacular and the water was clear. All of us were able to snorkle off the point and the fishing was good too. We all had a great time. Not a place to go to the beach but perfect for boating and snorkeling or scuba diving. There is a water park, grocery, gas station, sailing and snorkeling tours all within a mile. perfect location

It's an incredibly cool pool home on some of the best waterfront I've ever seen in the Keys.
