Lush Tropical Lagoon Home with view of th e Gulf of Mexico and incredible sunsets. Recently revnovated octagonal shaped home with wide open water views from every window. Newly furnished comfortable interior with all the ammenities you'd expect. Brick pavers surround lush landscaping and palm trees - relax on our wrap-around deck or patio and take in the sunset, manatee and dolphin. Outdoor dining set on the deck and lots of lounging furniture for you to relax and enjoy! This home has a large open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and over 1425 square feet of living space. The master suite has a king sized bed and the guest bedroom has a queen with a pull out sofa in the living room. Full modern kitchen with Corian countertops. Easy boat access and dockage that can accommodate a boats in water or on boat lift.

Furnished with newer furnishing, comfortable bedding/linens, and a full assortment of cookware right down to the blender. High-speed wireless internet, flat screen TVs complete with premium cable.

This rental includes a 2-person ocean kayak, new beach cruiser bikes, fish cleaning table, fish/bait freezer, gas grill, patio table/chairs and lounge chairs

Adventure in paradise

What a nice surprise!

My husband and I have been visiting the Florida Keys for over 20 years, but never booked a place on Marathon, having always opted for the "getaway" feel of the smaller more remote keys. We had the opportunity to take a last minute trip to Marathon and to our surprise and our complete good fortune, we found this listing. I have to say, initially we were a bit hesitant, as everything else we had looked at was already booked on such short notice. We suspected that it must have some draw back. However, upon our arrival we were elated!!! You know what they say, Location, Location, Location! Well this vacation home has that!!! Marathon is perfectly situated centrally in the keys with fantastic restaurants, many accessible by boat, (Franks, The Stuffed Pig and Catch 53 a must!) and all the modern conveniences of the large grocery, drugstore and retail chains, yet it still retains a "small key" atmosphere. Quite refreshing to us, was that everyone we encountered in Marathon, we found to be extremely pleasant, sincere, friendly, and very engaging. The elevated view from the stilt style house was of the lagoon and Gulf. Gulf water access was available within minutes from the protected lagoon. There was plenty of dock space to tie off our 30' fishing boat. The lagoon offered our boat protection from boat wakes and the occasional stormy sea. The lagoon was teeming with bait fish and tarpon. The accommodations were clean and laid out very well. The views were terrific and the sunsets amazing! It has a great living area! You would think it was a 5 bedroom house by the size of the living room and breakfast bar! The house is very quiet, we heard little to no outside noises. A major plus for us was the bait freezer. Perfect for preserving our catch! We would definitely recommend this property to others and in fact already have. We have friends that live in Marathon and have been looking for accommodations for their overflow guests and they found it to be a perfect place for just that. There were 2 new beach cruisers and a kayak that we did not even have time to use on our visit, we are saving that for our return visit next year! 2013 here we come!
