Reviews for this vacation home rental in Maricopa, Arizona
February 2, 2015
We had a great time, house was a bit large for two people but felt at home in it. Close to many things, we traveled around the state leaving this home as our base. All was good, returned to Maine January 31, 2015, not so great here, 3 + feet of snow met us. We love Arizona and look forward to next year.
WE LOVED OUR STAY!
November 30, 2014
We would like to comment on our recent stay in Maricopa.Although the weather was a little cooler than the average, and the locals called it winter, we found the temperature to be very comfortable (especially compared to the weather in Ontario at the time). We enjoyed the pool and private facilities at the "village", a very nice touch. As advertised, we found Maricopa to be a very central location for everything we had planned to visit while we were there. Being so close to the airport allowed us to get a quick start to our vacation. We found the neighbourhood of the house to be very quiet, and we felt very safe staying there. The neighbours in the area appeared to be very friendly as we strolled through the subdivisions, and along the many walking/ biking paths in the area. Groceries, gas, and other necessities were all within walking distance. Even a new Casino, with a sports center, movie theatre, bowling alley is right around the corner. (The all-you-can-eat buffet was ok also) There was definitely no shortage of things to do. In one direction, you have Phoenix, and everything it has to offer. We enjoyed taking in an NHL game, the restaurants and bars (especially the Rusty Spur Saloon), and of course, the shopping. In other directions, are adventures too many to mention. We visited Sedona, which was an amazing experience- one which needs to be on everyone's bucket list. We visited a ghost town/deserted gold mine, went hiking in the desert on marked trails, went for a cruize on The Dolly Paddleboat, where we were privileged to see not one, but two pair of Bald Eagles, and numerous mountain sheep. It was awesome! Unfortunately, we ran out of time do go golfing, especially when the courses looked so inviting. The rental house was as good as all the pictures. It is like new, and was very roomy, and well equipped. We felt very much at home there. In fact, we made sure we took some time to relax in the very private large back yard. Our only regret is that we had not booked more time for our stay in Maricopa. We will cetainly return Allan and Marlene

I agree with the other reviews posted about this property being an ideal central location to the state of Arizona. I travelled north to the breathtakingGrand Canyon where every time you look away and glance back the rock seems to change color in the sunlight., a must see at least once, I need to go back there again..lol.. I also enjoyed side trips to places like Jerome, a quaint little mining town full of little shops stocked with one of a kind items, and eateries boasting of the best beef burgers... set in the hillside with beautiful views. I toured through Sedona where the most beautiful red rock on earth is everywhere you look, including views similiar to Monument Valley. To be honest, in every little town there were treasures to be discovered if you had the time. HIstory is so important to its people in Arizona. I was totally taken with Tombstone arriving on Helldorado days where everyone dressed in period clothing and re-enactments of Wyatt Erp and the OK corral were staged. I felt transported back to that period just being surrounded by all the people there to commemorate the era. Tombstone was so captivating, I took another trip down there again before leaving the state, just to walk the boardwalk when there weren't people shoulder to shoulder in the streets. It was my birthday so the musicians in Big Nose Kate's Saloon played me a special song. (she was apparently a nosy person in everyone's business) I had to ask..Having stayed two full weeks, I was driving somewhere every day, to Fort Bowie, Prescott, pretty much covered the entire state except to the west. The State Fair was also being held while I was there which provided different attractions every day for a period of 10 days? Groceries and fuel were very close as mentioned, the major arteries in and around Phoenix were easy once you did them a few times. The caretakers of the building were prompt, attentive, efficient and very pleasant to deal with. The house itself was very spacious, efficient, clean and well equipped . I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Arizona and would recommend this particular location especially to anyone who was coming here for their first visit to the state.... Dennis and Sharlene made the booking as easy as possible and made all necessary arrangement to make my stay there a very pleasant experience....happy trails... Kate Schmidt

We were lucky enough to stay in this lovely home during the first week of November, 2014. We enjoyed ourselves immensely - the house was centrally located with a pool in walking distance. The neighbourhood felt completely safe! The weather was perfect and the house spacious, beds comfortable, three bathrooms and great kitchen made for a week we would love to do over and over again. Dennis and Sharlene have a home that reflects their pleasant and energetic lifestyle. Thanks for the memories - it was fantastic!

This is a great area to visit and get away from some of the cold. The house is well set up and has lots of space. Great to barbecue and enjoy the colors of the evening sunset. The recreation facilities were great and easy access. We would gladly return and would give the Adams full thumbs up!

This rental is as described in the Vacation Home Rentals site and really is a gem of a rental. The house was large, well equiped and clean. The outdoor space was walled and was equiped with a gas BBQ and patio table & chairs. The bedrooms were very roomy and the beds comfortable .The owners were great to work with and certainly did not mind questions being asked about the rental property. We would not hesitate to rent this property again when going to Arizonia.

We wanted to thank you for the wonderful accomodations. This home was perfect for our week's vacation we had the last week of November. It was amazing. The weather was so perfect. We had 78 to 80 degrees farenheit all week. Your home was so cozy and inviting because of the warm decor. The main living area i really loved because of the open concept. Great back yard and we enjoyed being able to sit out on the patio. Although we didn't have time to go to the pool or play tennis we did go see the facilities and kinda wish we would have found the time. But we were busy touring the area as there is so much to see. Maricopa is such a nice community. I loved the fact that Fry's grocery store was minutes away and was so convenient for getting groceries and such. So many choices in the area of great restaurants. There are 2 casinos nearby and lots of golf courses. We took a day trip to Sedona which was a little over 2 hrs away and I must say were mesmerized by the beauty. We also did a trip to the Grand Canyon which was further away but so worth the trip. We loved our trip to Arizona and we only wished we had taken two weeks instead of one as there was so much more to see. I guess we may need to rent your place again next year. I can only say that I wouldn't hesitiate to highly recommend this "home away from home" to anyone and Arizona is a surely a great place to vacation. Thanks Dennis & Sharlene. The accomodations were awesome. Kathy Weiler & Gator
We are happy to hear that our home was everything that you expected. Your thoughts about the area are exactly why we chose this location. You would have enjoyed the recreation facility. We look forward to spending time in Arizona as there are so many things and places to explore. Look forward to having you come back any time.

About:We like to stay in Maricopa as it is near the conveniences of Phoenix with all the attractions such as the professional sports but away from the hustle and traffic in a safe and friendly neighbourhood. If you love hockey the atmosphere around the coyotes arena is great. Golf is as close as you desire...
