Our two room family suite is just steps to the most beautiful sugar sand beach on Lake Superior. Enjoy sunbathing, swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing and fires on the beach. Area Information

The Seacoast Sand River Lakeshore Resort's sugar sand beach is rated one of the number one beaches in North America! The Lakeshore Resort is located just 15 miles east of Marquette, Michigan, home of Northern Michigan University and Marquette General Hospital. Travel 23 miles east to the Pictured Rocks Shoreline, and Grand Island in Munising, Michigan and the Hiawatha National Forest. The Pictured Rocks Boat Cruise is voted the#1 cruise in Michigan. We are surrounded by hiking trails and waterfalls , snowmobile trails, cross country ski trails, water trails, lighthouses and more. Marquette Mountain downhill skiing, NMU Hockey Events at the Barry Center , The Noquemanon Trail Network, Presque Isle Park, Kawbawgam Trail, Blueberry Ridge are all minutes away. Trail 417 lets you snowmobile from our back door!

great place, quiet, dead of winter, was able to stay warm easily, great kitchen, only issue was I ran out of propane and didn't know there was more in a shed or that I even had access to the shed.

Spacious and Beautiful

We stayed at Seacoast SandRiver for two weeks while I was on a work assignment near Marquette. There are several options to choose from, and I can only comment on the Loft, which was incredibly spacious, clean, functional, and enjoyable. Our family of six fit in the space very well, we enjoyed the lake views, access to the beach, and very friendly owners. They were very accomodating, friendly, and flexible. I would highly recommend this space to anyone who either needs that much space for 4-8 people, or can afford the cost. My only two negatives would be 1) the need to cross Hwy 28 to get to the beach, and 2) the need to drive 15 minutes to get to town. Neither of these is a show-stopper by any means, but just something to be aware of. So, next time you're in Marquette for an extended stay, want to be near the beach (which is an incredible one, by the way) and don't mind being a bit of a drive from town, stay at Seacoast SandRiver!

The owners were so gracious and helpful! They took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. We have stayed many places in Marquette, and this is a great resort for the price. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the rooms were comfortable. The location was right across from a beautiful beach - an easy and short walk across the street. We hope to return again!
