Pristine beach, home filled with a touch of love!

August 9, 2014

Just wanted to say this was truly one of the best weeks of our life!!!! For kids of all ages and adults too! We stayed here with 8 people, elementary, middle and high school and a couple college kids and 2 older parents. When we arrived on May 30, the water was still filled with ice, coldest winter in Michigan history, a couple days later it melted and we swam underwater, about 40 degrees, brrr! We had a beach fire, flew a kite, went on lots of walks on beautiful pristine beach with the clearest cleanest water ever! We enjoyed coffee on the deck, the sunrises and sunsets, and hanging out inside playing Guess who and other provided games! There is great food and great fun in Marquette and Munising too, and lots of grocery and other stores if you need things. The Roma bread at the Huron bakery was a favorite. We were in the UP 25 years ago and we are back for the first time again for our anniversary with our 6 kids!!! This house is such a blessing, all the little homey touches and we can tell it is filled with love! The things we loved: lovely warm beds, thick towels for bath and beach, quality dishes and pans, clean kitchen and fridge, great high counter to eat at, yummy s'mores and firewood for a beach fire was provided on our arrival, grill, warm beach blankets for when we were cold and fans for when we were hot and everything else! I especially loved having a washer and dryer to keep all our clothes and towels clean and dry. There was detergent for the dishwasher and washer there and all the little things one might need. I can't imagine a better place for a vacation. We loved everything!!!

Just what the doctor ordered

October 27, 2013

After a long summer of managing big projects my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable relaxing stay at the beach house. The regional foliage was beautiful while we enjoyed the many area hiking trails. There are plenty of local restaurants to choose from. I'd like to come back with more of our family sometime in the summer when we could enjoy water activities.

Beach Blizzard

January 4, 2010

We all had a wonderful time at the beach, except, it was a blizzard! In Northern Michigann (da UP) it is important to remember that the weather changes every five minutes. A great experience, hope to go back in the summer for a tan! Really special.

Loved the house

August 19, 2009

We had a week long family get-together at the beach house and had a wonderful time. The size and layout of the house were perfect for us. The location was gorgeous, with a huge beachfront. All in all, it was perfect.
