Description of the Marquette vacation home rental
Camp Luke Charles cottage has a very peaceful setting. Three bedrooms are spread out in our home for privacy and quiet. King Serta Euro-top mattress in bedroom 1, Queen Serta and single beds in bedroom 2. Double bed in bedroom 3. The Sunroom has a futon couch/bed (summer only) The spacious living room has 2 full size futon couches and 2 rocking recliner chairs with a beautiful view overlooking the Sand River. A wood burning fireplace rests in the corner of the knotty pine living room for a wonderful cozy feeling. High speed DSL Wi-Fi internet access, 32" LCD widescreen TV, satellite TV with DVD is also supplied. Our cottage includes two full baths (1 tub and 1 shower) and a spacious, modern kitchen with a slider door to a beautiful sun room with a day bed. All rooms fully equipped with everything you need including a washer and dryer laundry room. A hiking trail, which starts near the cottage, is great for a relaxing nature walk.
No pets allowed. No AC/air conditioning. No ORV's, ATV's or snowmobiles allowed on property. Camp Luke Charles is year around lived in home with many personal family and owl decorations. Owner's or managers may be staying at adjacent property.

Beatiful and relaxing vacation

We have come up with our extended family for 4 summers now and it always has been a good experience. Plenty for my two sons 11 and 13 to enjoy and enough space for everyone to have quite time. Feels very relaxing and like we have our own private getaway. It's so nice to be able to forget the time and just enjoy ourselves at the beach, make a fire, and enjoy the sunset. Summer just wouldn't be the same away from Camp Luke Charles. Thanks Paul and Annie!

We are officially hooked! This was our fourth vacation back at Camp Luke Charles and it was like coming home. Paul and Annie have made improvements that have made each of our stays a very warm and pleasant experience. Love the sunroom, the new floor looks great! It’s so cozy at Camp and yet there is plenty of room for everyone in our large family. So peaceful and relaxing…we love it here. Thank you again for sharing your home with our family! We stayed at Camp Luke Charles over Thanksgiving since we have teenagers who attend Northern Mich Univ and we had a terrific stay. Very comfortable home with beautiful location with Lake Superior across the street. We found everything we needed for preparing our dinner in well stocked kitchen with new appliances and our crew of "kids" in a variety of ages were able to have a little of their own space in a very homey setting. We are trying to arrange a stay for the summer since we had such a nice time in the winter.

Perfect house and location for our family

We have a 4 year old, 2 year old and 3 month old, and this place was perfect for our vacation. Clean, well supplied kitchen, plenty of room for the kids to play (and toys to play with too!), the river to look at and the beach across the street for swimming and playing in the sand, great location between Marquette and Munising, and plenty of room for the whole family. I will recommend it to friends and will try to vacation here again.

Camp Luke Charles is cozy, comfortable and clean. Nice place for little children as it is far enough away from the lake where you dont need to worry and close enough so it is only a short walk away. We loved the sunroom/porch as it was very sunny and bright with the 3 sliding glass doors. When we opened the screen doors on a mosquitoe eveing it felt as if we were outside with the comforts of being in. I too had my coffee on the outside swing in the morning over looking the river. Thank you for sharing your camp!

Beautiful setting

My wife and I stayed at Camp Luke Charles for 10 days, last October. It is in a beautiful wooded setting. We watched the fall leaves turn colors from every window. The home is even nicer in person. The web pictures only show a part of the very well kept home. It was a quiet, restful and beautiful place to spend our vacation. We were there to watch NMU football games that our son played in. It was nice to have a place to bring him and give him home-cooked meals while we were there. We can't wait to visit again this year. Thank you Paul!!!

We stayed at Camp Luke Charles for our yearly trip up from IL to play in a softball tournament at the Superior Dome. Everything was perfect and very peaceful, a nice change from our busy city lives. Plenty of room for 7 grown men. It was a great weekend spent with good friends, despite our poor showing at the tournament! Thanks for sharing your place, we look forward to coming back.

This is a wonderful place to stay! I woke up one morning to have coffee outside in the swing by the river and while swinging I realized that I didn't hear a single noise until suddenly a bird sang. Blissfully peaceful...

We had a wonderful stay at your cabin. Our three boys loved the lake; especially the floaties! I enjoyed coffee on the swing looking over the river every morning. We hiked, fished, canoed, swam, and had many smores on the campfire. It was a peaceful stay and gave Ted and I a chance to show the kids NMU where we graduated. The kids want to move here! God Bless.

it's live music at the Seafood festival, and watching my sister dance- and seeing joy and light on her face...if only for a moment...and knowing that just for a second, grief, like shards of glass, were under her feet- and she danced, no matter the pain on her bare feet. Cate
I've had a wonderful stay here. The cottage provided a peaceful place in a beautiful setting for one to get away from work. While I've been here, the trees began to turn to their beautiful fall colors and the lake has ranged from grey and stormy to blue and calm. Perfect!
