Great time with Friends.

A few friends got together and we decided to spend a wknd. This was a great choice, we had many things to do like swim in the freshest body of water in the world. Hiking thru beautiful woods. Canoeing on river. Great evenings watching the moon and stars from the Beautiful deck. We would go back again, if we were able to.

Nice Vacation Spot!

Comfortable and cozy rooms, the entire ambience was amazing. We felt right at home! The management was great; warm and welcoming. There were enough activities to keep all the children and adults entertained for the entire week of our visit. The riverfront views were spectacular! The jacuzzi tub in the master suite is the best!

Owner's reply:

Thank you Corrinna! Glad you all enjoyed your visit, please come back and see us again. :)

Idyllic UP vacation

We really enjoyed our week long stay at the River Retreat. The weather was super and we were able to hang out by the water and ride bicycles during the day. Evening brought amazing stars and bonfires outside, then a relaxing sauna and game of pool by the bar inside. The real highlight was the view in the morning with a cup of coffee. Marquette was close enough to enjoy some shopping and restaurants like the Sweet Water Cafe. We took the bicycles on the trail by the lake out to Presque Isle and back through town. We'd like to go back in the winter for a ski vacation. What a beautiful place to 'reset' and take a break.

Molly Laurich

Owner's reply:

Glad you had a rejuvenating break and enjoyed our many amenities! Please come back for that ski vacation you mentioned in January. From the looks of it so far, it's going to be a good snow season. Thank you!

Prefect Place

Thought it would be nice to get away for the week and go see fall color up in UP. A little early for all the tree to have turned but we did see some fall color. Did some rock climbing/hiking by way of exploring. Very close to the lake. The Place was big enough. We had 2 bedrooms not be used. We would definitely be seeing about coming back next year.

Owner's reply:

Thank you Barbara for your great review! Glad you had such a good time, hope to hear from you next year :)

Nice visit!

Enjoyed our few days at Welch's Riverview Retreat. House is a little dated, but comfortable. Our only complaint would be the water pressure. The property manager stopped by on our 3rd day, and when I informed him of the water pressure issue, he quickly changed the filter and that seemed to correct the problem. So if you stay here, and the water pressure is not good when you first arrive, let them know. We lived with the issue for 3 days thinking that was normal. Also, would be nice if they provided internet access. Cell phone reception is almost non-existant. My partner had no reception at all with AT&T. I have Verizon, and had limited reception. Otherwise, we enjoyed our time there.

Molly Laurich

Owner's reply:

Thank you for the good review, I am very sorry about the water pressure. Also, we will be getting WiFi soon :) Hope to hear from you for your next vacation!

Restful retreat

We had a wonderful family time in this house ~ the house was very comfortable and convenient. When the weather warmed up the mosquitos did too! But once the weather cooled they were less invasive. The horseshoe pit, the volleyball court and the canoe were fantastically fun! The view was spectacular. Thank you for making our vacation so enjoyable and comfortable!

Molly Laurich

Owner's reply:

Thanks for the wonderful review (: I'm glad you had a great time! Sorry about all the mosquitos though :( Hope to hear from you again!

What a Fantastic Experience!!!!

My stay here was way too short while spending just a couple of days here visiting friends in Marquette. The weather turned out to be fantastic and the view of the Sand River and Lake Superior exceeded all of my expectations. The house was nicely furnished and very comfortable. The bar, rec room, and sauna downstairs were a real treat and having the use of a canoe was an added bonus. It was wonderful paddling on the Sand River. The view from the upstairs master bedroom was spectacular with a great jacuzzi tub to relax in while taking in the lake view. My whole experience here exceeded my expectations and hope to return soon for a longer stay.

Owner's reply:

Thank you for the great review! Glad you had a wonderful stay! Hopefully next time your stay will be a longer.
