Description of the Marsh Harbour vacation apartment rental

Butterfly Haven is located two miles from Marsh Harbour in Pelican Shores, an exclusive residential community. It is a great area to relax and unwind without having the "typical" vacation rental. You will feel right at home and do things at your own pace. It is a two bedroom one bath rental unit with a full kitchen and spacious living area. Located on a private pond that affords you a very safe place to keep your rental boat (up 30' outboards) right outside the door.

Pond Bay Beach is only two blocks away if you want to put your toes in the sand and a short 5 minute walk away is The Mermaid Reef one of Abaco's most frequented spots, a great place to snorkel just yards from the beach.

Sit on the outside patio, relax in the hammock, feed pet fish at the dock, kayak through the mangroves, snorkle at Mermaid Reef or hop in the boat and visit one of the many beaches.

Area Description

Butterfly Haven is located on the first level of Butterfly Cottage a residential home in Pelican Shores which is on the north side of the Harbour. Just 2 miles from town and very quiet and peaceful. Owners are on-site if you need assistance with any questions. The Cottage sits on a protected pond that offers you a great place to keep your (rented or owned) boat for easy access to all you want to do.

Marsh Harbour is the largest town in the Abacos, it makes a great place to base your island vacation, offering shopping and ammenities not found on most of the smaller surrounding Cays. Green Turtle Cay and Hope Town, offer the quaint charm of a New England town, Guana Cay is home to world famous Nipper's Bar, Man-O-War is a small boat building town which is home to Albury Brothers boats and "The Sail Shop" where you can purchase canvas bags and luggage, there are also a couple nice shops. A 20 min drive away is Pete's Pub and gallery in Little Harbour, or Treasure Cay where you can golf all day and then relax on the beach, Treasure Cay beach has been voted one of the top ten beaches in the caribbean.

Marsh Harbour is centrally located and makes it easy to reach all of these destinations. You will want a car and/or boat to fully enjoy your stay. You can also rent you a bike if you want to pedal around town then take the ferries to the Cays.
