Description of the Maryville vacation cottage rental

Awesome Mountain views from this Smoky mountain home. 3BR/2 BA Fully furnished w/ log furniture. Leather sofas w/recliners to enjoy the stone fireplace. Sleeps 6. Master has king size bed. 2nd BDRM has Queen size bed. 3rd BDRM has log bunk beds, twin size. Linens, pots, pans, dishes, everything needed to enjoy your serene stay. 100 acre back yard. You don’t even have to visit the smoky mountain park to enjoy this area as there are 4500 acres of TVA public land across the street for hiking and hunting. East-Chili falls is a ¼ mile from the foot of the driveway for your own private swimming hole. Family’s, hikers, bikers, and hunters welcome. This home is atop the mountain with spectacular views of Chilhowee Mountain (Foothills Parkway). Although we are not located in Gatlinburg, we cater to folks looking for a quiet non-touristy scenic spot from which to enjoy our mountain environment. We have recently paved our driveway in April 2012 so that our home is accessible by any type of vehicle. 80% of the road is paved up from the county road. The last 200 feet is gravel, but it is a straight shot to the top with no switchbacks and should be traversed by any two wheel drive vehicle. in the event you feel you cannot go up the gravel section you can park on the asphalt and walk the last 200 feet up. Keep in mind that this home is located up on top of the mountain and the mountain top setting is invigorating and well worth the trip up!

Area Information

Close to major Mountain Attractions. 10 minutes from the “Dragon,” Highway 129. The Dragon is a awesome touring road with 318 curves in 11 miles. One of the coolest roads in North America. 1 hour to Gatlinburg/Dollywood. 45 minutes to Knoxville/UT Campus and Stadium. 30 Minutes to Tyson-McGhee (Knoxville Airport) 30 minutes to Townsend entrance to Smoky Mountain National Park. 15 minutes to Abrams Creek entrance to Smoky Mountain National Park entrance . 1 hour to Sugarland Park entrance. 45 minutes to Cades Cove through the Townsend entrance. We are also very close to Maryville, Alcoa, Friendsville, Greenback, Vonore, Knoxville, Tellico lake, Happy Valley, Ft loudon, Sweetwater, Madisonville, Loudon, Lenoir city, etc. 3hours to Nashville, 3 hours to Atlanta, 1.5 hours to Chattanooga, Rock city, Ruby Falls.

Fantastic

The cabin was great and the view from the top of the mountain was even better. The cabin had plenty of room for my wife and I, my daughter and three of my grandkids. We even invited my other daughter, her boyfriend, along with three more of my grandkids and one great grandkid over for dinner and everyone had a great time. The two complaints were that one of my cars could not get up the gravel portion of the driveway, but we were warned ahead of time so no big deal. The other complaint was that we only had it for two days. My wife and I plan on going back for a week by ourselves real soon. Thanks for a wonderful experience Dave and thanks for accomidating us at the last minute.

Best Tennessee Getaway!

I attended classes at the University in Knoxville and my family and I REALLY loved this place! Close enough to Knoxville and yet far enough to be truly country. Amazing views and sunrises greated us on the porch each morning as we enjoyed our coffee and overlooked "our amazing mountaintop." Best find in Tennessee! Best price! And best owner! Thanks Chili, we will be back again and my sister is already planning her next trip as well. :)

Hidden in the hills

This beautiful home was a great spot for my husband and I to spend 9 days just relaxing. Its only about a 30 minute trip to restaurants and Starbucks. Just far enough to feel like your out of the city and close enough for convenience. Prices just can't be beat for the quality of this rental home. Deer and bunnies came and visited us during our stay, the deer got REALLY close too so if you rent this place, get up early and look out front and you may see some! The whole place just felt like home from the minute we got there. Thanks for allowing us to have a GREAT VACATION!
