Area Information
We hope you enjoy this home and neighborhood as much as we do. We’ve been coming down to the cape for many years since we were kids. We always remember when driving to the Cape, how excited we were to see the bridge appear in the distance. Something magical seems to happen once you cross that bridge. There’s that unmistakable feeling that you’re arriving at a very special place filled with joy, relaxation and peacefulness.
We were very fortunate to have found this “best kept secret” of Cape Cod, known as South Cape Beach. This neighborhood has everything we were looking for. It’s a short walk to the beach. It’s a quiet family neighborhood secluded from the hustle and bustle of the traffic; yet it’s still convenient to all of the attractions. The wooded area surrounding this neighborhood is state-reserved land that will never be built on. Just a short walk away is both an ocean beach and a beach by the bay.
South Cape beach is one of the most beautiful ocean beaches on Cape Cod with a wonderful view of Martha’s Vineyard and many walking paths that take you through the natural surrounding habitat & various inlets. There is also a private neighborhood beach and boating dock on Little River Bay which joins Waquoit Bay.
This home was built in 2003 with the goal of accommodating gatherings of family and friends, both large and small. It was designed for Cape Cod summer living, with an open living-space that accommodates up to 16 people, yet cozy enough for smaller gatherings to feel right at home. The no-frills furnishings and amenities make the home as functional as possible while maintaining the quaintness of old Cape Cod.
There is so much to do here you will want to come back again and again just to experience it all. This home gives you the peace and serenity you need to relax on your vacation while at the same time you have access to all of the attractions whenever your ready for them.

Easter Weekend Rental
The house was great and handled the 14 - 16 people nicely. Several areas for congregation helped to spread things out with a nice deck in addition. The area is lovely and the beach and playground area with a bocce pit is really nice. Everything was clean and in great shape. John was very helpful and even went out of his way to return some games we left behind. Thanks.

I speak for my entire family in saying we had our best vacation ever this July in Mashpee. Your house was impeccable and met every possible one of our needs. Access to the beaches was so convenient we were able to spend many hours enjoying the ocean from dawn to dusk. I'm afraid I can't think of anything you could possibly change or add to make anyone's stay any more enjoyable. We loved it so much we can't wait for next year - maybe for 2 weeks!
Our family vacation was a huge success thanks to this home! We couldn't ask for a more comfortable stay. This area is not as fast pace, but it's beautiful and lovely location for beach, shopping and day trips anywhere including the Vineyard! Looking forward to going back!
