Description of the Massanutten vacation cabin rental

Newly built large and open log home. Newly furnished and spacious! Natural pine plank walls throughout, hardwood floors, beamed cathedral ceilings and loads of windows will afford breathtaking views year-round!
The staircases are natural wood. This, all within the desirable "kettle" of Massanutten Mountain's Four Season Resort. Enjoy the features of rustic log cabin living, with modern amenities. Surf the internet on the porch swing or in your bedroom with high speed internet wireless access. Or kick back and enjoy the HDTV Surround Sound experience in the great room. Then, watch a ball game/movie while honing your foosball skills in the picturesque loft.

Massanutten resort has a wide variety of recreational activities and is truly a four season resort. Massanutten has hiking and biking trails, fishing nearby, a skate park and a canoe and kayak service. Rentals are available for mountain bikes and skates. Horseback riding is available nearby. A brand new full scale outdoor/indoor water park is now open. During the summer the recreation department offers outdoor volleyball games and softball games for adults and children. Organized kickball, wiffle ball games and other games are offered for the children. There are also many craft classes available for both adults and children. In addition, there are organized seasonal activities at the resort. During winter, you can ski, snowboard or tube the slopes.
Oh yeah, can't forget the 2 golf courses and the spectacular fall colours of the trees.

My familiy and I just returned form a stay at Hickory Oaks Chalet - there were 11 of us - including 5 children. The house had plenty of living space for the kids to play and was nicely appointed with everything you need. Plenty of room to store ski gear and other snow items. Although the snow conditions were lack luster the house exceeded our expectations.

We loved this home! We were a party of 10 and there was room for us all. The dining room table offered plenty of room for us to sit together at meal time. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner we prepared in the home's kitchen. The decor was well coordinated and the furniture was comfortable. We had lots of fun playing ping pong and fooseball. The best part for us though was the beautiful Christmas tree that was in the living room. We turned the tree lights on, sat by the fire, and enjoyed being in this warm, comfortable home.

This house is beautiful and very enjoyable to stay in. The high ceilings, fresh wood paneling and classy furniture create a welcoming and pleasing atmosphere. The only drawback is a very steep gravel driveway and no yard for kids to play in. Otherwise it is great!

We had a delightful stay at the Hickory Oaks Chalet. The accommodations were wonderful with everything we needed, and the view was beautiful. Massanutten Vacation was very helpful, responsive and friendly when making rental arrangements. We would definitely return to Hickory Oaks again.
