Charming Cabin

My family and I stayed for a second time at this charming, cozy cabin. My favorite features are the bright, open floorplan and the gorgeous views from the many windows. I love the rustic feel of staying in a cabin combined with the new construction and appropriate amenities. We also appreciated the Christmas tree! We enjoyed a day at the Massanutten Waterpark and a day of snow tubing, but we enjoyed even more hanging out at the cabin with our family. We look forward to another visit!

Hickory Oaks Chalet Fall Weekend

Six friends gathered here for our college reunion weekend and had a wonderful time. We loved the beautiful views from the front porch and the many windows. There was so much room to spread out and relax. The kitchen was well equipped and we found everything that we needed to have a great time together!

Charming Home

This was a very charming and beautiful house. It had all the amenities of home and more. Really enjoyed that the dining room table fit the whole family at mealtime, especially that there was 10 of us. House was close to the fabulous waterpark which we thoroughy enjoyed. We will absolutely return in the winter and try the snow tubing.

40th Birthday Trip

My husband and I rented this home for his 40th Birthday. It was just the two of us and we loved it! The only problem we had was the entertainment system in the living room. We had brought movies to watch but there was no sound from the DVD player. We also stayed in this home with our 4 childrem in December of 2009. It was a great trip. Beautiful home. Clean and well furnished. We'll definitely be staying again!

Our family of seven, including a 16-month old toddler, thoroughly enjoyed the Hickory Oaks Chalet. It was spacious, attractive, and very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony that extends along the front of the house. The ping pong table in the garage got a lot of use. The kitchen was well-equipped. We'd definitely stay here again if we return to Massanutten.

Great Family Vacation

My familiy and I just returned form a stay at Hickory Oaks Chalet - there were 11 of us - including 5 children. The house had plenty of living space for the kids to play and was nicely appointed with everything you need. Plenty of room to store ski gear and other snow items. Although the snow conditions were lack luster the house exceeded our expectations.

A Memorable Holiday

We loved this home! We were a party of 10 and there was room for us all. The dining room table offered plenty of room for us to sit together at meal time. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner we prepared in the home's kitchen. The decor was well coordinated and the furniture was comfortable. We had lots of fun playing ping pong and fooseball. The best part for us though was the beautiful Christmas tree that was in the living room. We turned the tree lights on, sat by the fire, and enjoyed being in this warm, comfortable home.

This house is beautiful and very enjoyable to stay in. The high ceilings, fresh wood paneling and classy furniture create a welcoming and pleasing atmosphere. The only drawback is a very steep gravel driveway and no yard for kids to play in. Otherwise it is great!

Mountain Cabin Retreat

We had a delightful stay at the Hickory Oaks Chalet. The accommodations were wonderful with everything we needed, and the view was beautiful. Massanutten Vacation was very helpful, responsive and friendly when making rental arrangements. We would definitely return to Hickory Oaks again.
