Sleeps 18 - Vaulted ceiling - fusball - the VIEWS!
|Per night:||$360 - $500|
There are 11 sturdy, hand made 48"bunk beds in our home. They were handcrafted to accomodate adults comfortably. All bunks are bolted to the walls so they can't tip.
We also have a kingsize bed, a a queen size bed, 2 double beds, a twin over a double bed and a futon.
Also on the mountain, in addition to the skiing and snowboarding, are a Go-kart track and putt-putt golf and a zip line. Don't overlook the great hiking and biking and fishing.
While our home is within the Massanutten Resort complex, we are not connected to the Resort and get no special discounts or access to Resort amenities. Everything that is open to the public is available to you. In the summer you can use our Owner's Pool Pass for the outdoor community pool. The fee at the pool is $5 per person with 5 and under free.
Harrisonburg is fun to explore and we are about 30 minutes from Charlottesville. There are vineyards close and caverns to explore. The area is also rich in Civil War sites.
We want to rent our home for spiritual retreats and to good friends and families who want to spend time together in a peaceful environment. Our home is not a "party house" and we don't rent to college students unless accompanied by parents.

What a wonderful experience the Sungrazer provides! Our group had such a relaxing and refreshing time enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains that the Sungrazer offers. The home is clean, well furnished with everyone you need. I love the open layout of the kitchen/dining/living area. The owner is wonderful to work with! We would definitely return!

MOUNTAIN VACATION HOME AT ITS BEST!!
August 24, 2014
Just spent our 4th year of family vacation at Sungrazer in the beautiful Massanutten Resort. This mountain house is fully equipped with every detail to make your vacation a winner. There is plenty of sleeping for families and an assortment of bed choices - bunks, doubles, twins, full and queen. All linens are provided and are very plentiful. The kitchen is full equipped in every way, including a dishwasher. There is also a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience. The house is immaculately clean also. There are two wonderful decks to sit out and enjoy the magnificent views of the mountains - the top deck is nice and sunny during the day, while the lower deck provides a nice shady spot to enjoy the mountain scenery also. The overall views are spectacular and it just adds to the amenities of this wonderful home. Sitting in the living room on the upper level provides beautiful vistas of the mountain scenery also. The house is fully air-conditioned which makes it nice on those hot summer days. As I said earlier, this is our fourth year spending our family vacation at Sungrazer. We just hate the week to end as our whole family loves it and this home makes you keep wanting to come back - and that is the way a vacation should be. There are so many activities on the mountain that you really don't have to ever leave it during your stay. Carol Ishinger, the owner of this lovely home, is a real delight to work with and she provides any information that you may need during your stay. So, come stay at Sungrazer - you will love it!!. Sincerely, Patti Rau and Family

Superbly located less than one mile from a host of activities including skiing, tubing, skating and go-carts. The home is well suited for a large family gathering such as ours. We loved our stay there.
JMU Homecoming 2013
November 11, 2013
Our group of 11 stayed at Sungrazer while we were in the area for JMU Homecoming, and we found the property to be excellent for our needs. The views off of the back decks were truly magnificent. Sungrazer has obviously been taken care of and as been well-maintained. The place was very clean, and the large # of available beds is perfect for a large gathering. Our group hopes to come back again in the future, and I would recommend Sungrazer to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the Harrisonburg / Massanutten area.
Return to Massanutten
August 22, 2013
Our family's first visit to Massanutten was seven years ago. We decided to return again this time with a couple more grandchildren. SunGrazer is a great rental. It's very well equipped, much better than other comparable rentals we've used in other locales. It's got plenty of room and is quite comfortable and the view off the back deck and frequent visits by members of the local deer population were added bonuses. Don't let the somewhat steep driveway dissuade you (You're in the mountains for God's sake!) anybody who can drive can handle that. It's only a short drive to the water park or if you prefer the community pool, that's close too. Great little park near the main entrance to allow the kids to run off steam or as we did, have a scavenger hunt. There's hiking near by and the kids loved the go carts and bungee dome. Civil War sites and vineyards for those interested. If you really can't be without one on vacation, there's a gigantic shopping complex in Harrisonburg. In short, something for everyone. The owner is great to deal with and the process of renting is so easy. So,if you love the mountain atmosphere and comfortable accommodations too, give SunGrazer a try.

The SunGrazer is a very welcoming and accommodating rental. There was even a decorated Christmas tree! We enjoyed the panoramic view of the mountains and slopes while watching the deer playing in the yard below. The spacious kitchen was especially well equipped for preparing family meals, and having linens provided and laundered was a plus. Besides being just minutes from skiing and all the other Massanutten acitivities, our family times around the fireplace during meals and playing games are special memories. The bed, bath arrangements were great for everyone, ages 5 to 65. Carol, the owner, was very helpful and did everything she could to make our stay a very positive experience. We really enjoyed our stay and would use this rental again. The only criticism we have is that, although the house was clean, there were some areas that we felt could have been cleaned more thoroughly.

Our Family Stay
November 13, 2012
My mom"s cancer recently came back so before she had to undergo chemotherapy again- I decided it would be a great idea to take her and all her grandchildren somewhere to bond. My best friend whom just just lost her grandma to cancer decided to join us bringing her mom (w/ all her grandchildren) as well. It was a great experience and enough room for everyone. We laughed, we cried and I couldn't have picked a better place for us to experience such wonderful energy, love, and great vibes.... Thanx ~Angel

Met at the Sungrazer for a reunion of 7 college best friends and a few family members. Others from our group joined us for dinner "at home" after the game. Being all together for the first time in 29 years would have been great anywhere, but the Sungrazer made it even more special. We were able to seat 12 around the dinner table, with plenty of room in the kitchen for the kids to have their own table. Comfy beds and ample bathrooms for our large crew. The fireplace - with a bundle of wood supplied - was especially welcome after a chilly day of football. We're already talking about coming back next year!
October 1, 2011
We held a mini-family reunion here with 14, including four children, two small and two teens. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay; the accommodations exceeded our expectations. Everything was provided, as claimed. Note that many of the sleeping provisions are bunk beds. We would have preferred a couple more queen-size beds for the adult couples. Highly recommend!
Retreat was a success
August 31, 2011
I'm a college soccer coach and brought my soccer team to Massanutten for our team retreat during preseason. 13 girls stayed in this house and there was plenty of room. The upstairs living room and downstairs living room provided plenty of space for the girls to hang out together, watch tv and relax. The area around the house was safe and peaceful. Massanutten offered plenty of activities for the team to do during the day. We played mini golf, went go karting and went to the pool. The house provided a pool pass for everyone. Overall great weekend and would recommend this house to anyone who has a large group and wants everyone to be all together!

We had a wonderful experience in Massanutten during our 8 day trip. The house had plenty of room to accomodate our 12 family members and there was no shortage of activities for the entire family (young and old alike). We've already begn planning our 2012 trip and look forward to staying at the same resort location. Thanks!

Used this house for a girls getaway weekend with 14 friends. The house is absolutely stunning, as is the neighborhood and surrounding area. There are tons of rooms and beds, making it wonderful for a large group. Beautiful kitchen and great large open areas for hanging out. Near to hiking and lots of other activities. Would most definitely recommend this property!

All, If you are looking for a place for a reunion with atleast 15 people then this is the place. Marty and Carol are very warm and accomodating. They let us check in early and always answered all our calls and concerns. I would highly recommend this place for families in VA looking for a quick get away and wanting to spend quality family time.

The house was completely stocked and well kept. The views are amazing and it is only 3 minutes from the slopes. The owner is extremely helpful, humble, and efficient. This house was perfect for our group of 12!
November 4, 2008
The house was very practical and served the purpose of housing our large group quite comfortably. We were unable to get the surround sound working downstairs, so ask about it ahead of time if you want to use it. The gas fireplace downstairs also required a bit of hunting to find the gas valve to turn on gas, but once lit, it was great to have on as it got pretty cool in the basement. Beds were comfortable and all needed cookware was readily available! Great place for a great price! Owner very accommodating and helpful
