Tastefully decorated with leather furniture in the upstairs family room, The Retreat provides ample room for the family to gather, with 2 separate Great Rooms: an upstairs family room with attached open kitchen and large kitchen table, and a downstairs great room with 2 arcade games, foosball, big screen television, books and couch and loveseat.

Located within the Massanutten Four Seasons Resort,and with perfect views of the ski mountain from the front deck, the Massanutten Retreat is a rewarding base for those who come to enjoy the many pleasures of Virginia's Valley of the Shenandoah. The Retreat is nestled in the rolling hills of the Shenandoah Valley, an area rich in Virginia history and easily accessible by Interstate I-81 or I-64. Guests may ski, fish, canoe, tube, bike, hike, hunt, or just relax and unwind to the soothing murmur of the Shenandoah River and cool mountain breezes. Other popular pastimes within easy driving distance include Civil War battlefields and museums, national parks, caverns, wineries, golf, tennis, horse back riding, and the many specialty and antique shops.

The Retreat backs to the National Forest, with hiking paths and hunting within easy walking distance, and great views of the mountain.
