OK for the price in Massanuten

We stayed 9 days for a cycling trip in the Massanuten area. we were 11 people at a time. Overall the stay was well appreciated. It's well located. The cottage is a bit small for such a number of people, moslty to the fact that it's an older cottage with less open space and sub-divison (kitchen) pretty narrow. Also beds for people over 9 are thin matress on the floor which are not that comfy. Service for booking was excellent. Small details like the appliances (bbq, toaster,...) are due to be updated, but since it's not new and we have paid 1000$ less than newer cottages, it's OK. Overall, you have what you pay for, if you are looking for a luxury cottage, don't go there, but if you are looking for an affordable, well located and complete cottage, it's a good choice.

We used this for a Family Holiday, Owner maintained a good standard of accommodation. Well equipped & well maintained for extended stays. Well run by nice folk, too cooperative. Excellent value for money in the Area. Very convenient location offering easy access to many local lifestyle activities etc. I will be back and I would recommend it to anyone.

This was the easiest property I've ever rented. This home is very private tucked at the end of a street. Rooms are very private, and home is way bigger than it seems. Fully equipped kitchen all the way down to the tin foil and cleaning supplies. Owner is very kind and easy to work with. Security deposit was refunded under 24 hours. We had a wonderful trip, and made memories to last. Don't over look this home, It's a great find! Thanks you to the Rogers family for sharing your home!

Cosy and convenient

This rental is welcoming, spacious and good value for money. The beds were comfortable, and there were books, games, wireless Internet, cable TV, and all the kitchen necessities to make our stay comfortable. The owners even arranged for the lights to be left on for us because we were arriving late, which was a nice touch. I would definitely rent this property again.

Family Holiday Ski Retreat

Great stay on the mountain. The house, owner and total experience were absolutely first class. This house has the perfect location on the mountain and more room than most have at home. The layout is good when you have kids...the downstairs is accessible but secluded. We were vacationing at Massanutten the week of Christmas to New Years with family and friends and could not have picked a better house. There were two wood burning stoves with more firewood than you could ever use. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and easy parking for several vehicles at the end of the drive. Everything was clean, cozy, and comfortable. If you are looking for a house to rent you can't go wrong here. Electronic locks made it easy for all to get in and out without keeping up with keys. The only possible downside is there is one tv downstairs...hard to to amicable with a house full of football fans wanting to watch different games. Can't mention enough how easy the owner was to work with...excellent communication. Deposit was even refunded within 24 hours! First class from start to finish.

A Great Time

We rented this house for a family get together. We normally rent houses at the beach so this was a different experience for us. We had a great time! The house was very clean and was larger than the pictures show. It is very cozy and sits on a cul de sac, away from the main road. It is very close to JMU and restaurants and stores. The beds were very comfortable and the comforters in great shape (this isn't always the case when you rent.)We would definitely rent this house again.

The pictures on the VRBO website don't do this house justice. It is lovely, situated at the end of a winding road in the woods. Well furnished, lovely rooms, a porch that looks out over the trees. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils. There's a large living room/dining room combination and we enjoyed sitting around the dining table and lounging in the comfy couches. The linens are quite attractive and the beds are comfortable. No one complained. Everyone enjoyed their stay and we would go back there in a minute.

Home away from home

We only stayed for a couple of nights but it was just as cozy as home and everything you could ask for was provided. The owner was very involved and the entire rental process was amazingly simple. Nestled quietly on a cul de sac right in Massanutten's resort so you're only minutes from the slopes, the water park, go karts, and some awsome snow tubing. Highly recommended with plenty of room and lots of amenities.

Great rental for the holidays

Our family gathered in this house for 3 days over the New Year's holiday; and it was a great setting for our reunion. The bedrooms are spread out and give a nice amount of privacy. The kitchen, bedrooms, and baths were well supplied. We loved the wood stove. The wooded setting was private, quiet, and lovely.

We had our greatest vacation in this house. Area is very quite and nice because the house locates at the end of the other houses. Plenty of nice comfortable rooms. The house and the area is child proof so you can enjoy your vacation with your family without any problem. Booking process is very easy. I would highly recommend this house to anyone especially to larger groups of people.

I booked this house and stayed two nights with my family and couple friends. The booking process with the owner is very easy and nice. The house is very cozy and it has plenty of rooms. Lots of game for kids to play. Nice mountain view. very convinient location. The owner provided lots of house keeping stuff to use, very handy! We had very good time staying there, and I will recommend this house to any other friends who plans to go there.
