Three Season Hot Tub!
Perfect for 2, plenty for 8.
This private, über-fab, architect designed, fully wireless farmhouse is for rent by the night, week or month. We are located in the Hamlet of Medusa in the town of Rensselaerville, situated on a beautiful 17 acre setting facing a valley, a lake and a mountain range.
The sunsets are postcard perfect, and the peacefulness is not to be believed. We are located about 135 miles from the GWB so with the right travel timing, you can be here in about 2 hours. The farm is about a 3 minute drive to the general store, a 10 minute drive to town, a short walk to a creek, and a stroll to a meadow. There are freshwater swimming holes in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Great weekend upstate

We have rented from Angela twice. Once for a weekend with family and another with friends and their kids. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves both times. The scenery is beautiful. It's the perfect place to enjoy fall in New York. And our dog loved it too.

Full Moon Farm Fabulous

Our stay at Full Moon Farm was wonderful from start to finish. Correspondence early on with the owner was fast and friendly--leading me to believe our stay would be great! And I wasn't the least bit disappointed. From our cow neighbors to the rooster wake-up calls everything was serene and peaceful. Anything we might have forgotten was easy to acquire at the Medusa General Store. We have already booked our return trip for next year!

We stayed at Full Moon farm and had a great time! It was quiet and relaxing and very beautiful. The shower in the upstairs bathroom is AMAZING! After a long day of skiing-it was perfect! The kitchen was great if you like to cook-which our group loves to do. Everything is labeled and so it is all very organized and easy to find. The only thing that would have made it better was if the hot tub worked in the winter but other than that-we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!

Cozy house in the Snow

The owners house in Medusa proved to be the perfect escape from our hectic lives in the city! Just a few hours outside of Manhattan, the location was extremely convenient and even allowed us to spend some time on the slopes with Windham Mountain just 20 minutes down the road. Having gone there with a few friends and the intention of exploring what was around, I must admit that we were hard pressed to leave the house as it was incredibly cozy with a perfect kitchen to cook in, a rain shower, and a fire we couldn’t help but gather around. Thank you to the owner for opening up your beautiful home to us and making our weekend simply perfect :)

My g-shepherd, Paws, and I escaped the city last weekend. We decided to stay in Medusa at Full Moon Farm because I heard through the G-Village g-vine how wonderful it was... Holy wow. We had so much fun roaming the land, and the house was so contemporary country cool. I want to escape again!

This house is stunning; every detail is to the tee. The owner obviously has a very artistic eye and impeccable taste. From the gorgeous woodfloors to the vintage chandeliers, it is all GOOD. Lounge in one of the comfy beds; have your coffee on the porch, a little bbq and beer and then take a dip in the hottub. Now that's a perfect day!

What a house! The place was obviously built and designed with loving hands. When I got there it looked as if no one before us had ever stayed there. It was immaculate! Beautifully designed! And a real treasure located all the way upstate. Angela was a wonderful person to deal with. She answered all our questions, offered up some little hints about enjoying our stay better, and generally made the experience memorable. Use that hottub at night kids! Fireflies!

We certainly made the right choice when choosing this property. Angela and Lucinda (the property manager) were wonderful, the house was wonderful, and the area was wonderful. When traveling to pick-up more sandwiches and groceries, the locals were so kind! (The wraps from Oak Hill kitchen are delicious. I miss them already.) We actually recorded music (Sami Akbari) while we were in the house with Angela's permission. I can't help but think that the beautiful surroundings influenced the amazing music that we made. Thanks Angela!

I had the MOST relaxing stay...the whole house is artfully designed and decorated--from the expansive chefs kitchen and dining room to the amazingly warm, inviting bedrooms, comfy living space with chic wood stove--the whole experience was just heavenly! We bbq'd outside and relaxed by the beautifully planted garden...everything about the place is sheer beauty!

AMAZING STAY!

My 7 girlfriends and I went up recently for a girls weekend and were 100% pleased in every way. The house was lit up and warm when we arrived (which was well after midnight). The hot tub was bubbling and hot. The rooms were beautiful and the view was postcard pretty. We BBQ'd and went to a local apple farm. The kitchen is fully functional. We were very glad we bought groceries before we got up there. It is very isolated easy to get lost and turned around if you've never been there, especially if you are used to subways over back roads. This house was a great find and we all hope to get back up there soon.

I would not hchange a thing about this awesome house! It provided us with one of the best vacations we could have asked for and even offered us things we never knew we wanted! Highlights are the view, cedar hot tub, awesome kitchen and serenity of eating on the screened in porch and hearing nothing but birds and the breeze. The owner was very thoughtful when designing her home that she shares with us lucky folks and it made our stay very special - so thank you!

A group of friends and I stayed in this wonderful farmhouse to celebrate my 40th birthday. We had planned to explore some of the small towns and take a natrue walk, but we loved the house so much that we never left. The pictures dont lie, this is a uber cool place. We are already talking about when to go back!

I had a wonderful time at this gorgeous farmhouse. The house alone is beautiful, minimalist and somehow charming at the same time. It's just the right mix of clean and cozy and well equipped. I loved being in the country without feeling like I was camping. It was a long overdue escape from city living...did I mention QUIET? Even as I write this, I hesitate to disclose what an incredibly comfortable place this - just out of fear that it will be rented indefinitely. The nearby towns are quirky and sweet too, but you really won't want to leave the house. I don't know when I'll get back, but it won't be soon enough.
