Beautiful, secluded private family home on Spider Lake in Mercer, WI. Many amenities included, see site at which for full description, state-licensed for lodging since 1996.

Summer:
Come and enjoy beautiful Spider Lake! With a sandy bottom and gradual depth, our bay makes for great swimming for the whole family. If it is fishing action you want, look no further. Walleye, northern, musky, bass and pan fish make for great action and great eating! Paddle down the Turtle River to the next lake using one of the canoes, or just sit and relax on the deck and listen to the loons who love to "hang" in front of the dock.

Fall:
ATV Enthusiasts Welcome! Come ride the trails or for some fall fishing, or to view the Great North Woods fantastic fall colors! Cozy up to the huge 2 way fieldstone fireplace, a work of art that will warm you up quickly!

Winter:
Snowmobile down the driveway to put you on Trail #8 or #10. Head north 25-35 minutes to ski and snowboard in Michigan at Indianhead, Powderhorn, Blackjack or White Cap in Wisconsin. There are cross country/snow shoe trails in Mercer, Boulder Junction, Ironwood, or ski/shoe right from the front door of The Deer House!

Available year-round, weekly and weekend rentals.
Dogs welcome, fishing boat, canoes included.
Fabulous area for fishing, snowmobiling, skiing,
4-wheeling, or playing in the lake during the summer.

Area Information

Mercer is a beautiful north woods resort town, not far from the Upper Peninsula and Lake Superior (great skiing!)
Our Deer House is right on the snowmobile trails #8 and #10, and has close access to ATV trails as well.
Fishing on Spider Lake is fantastic! This lake is known for walleye, musky and panfish. Use our canoes to paddle down the Turtle River and catch fish there too!

Great week at the Deer House.....

We had a wonderful stay for 8 days at the Deer House! The house is about three miles from downtown Mercer, which is a quaint little town. The house itself is equipped wonderfully. We WAY overpacked, as all sheets, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, etc. are provided. The kitchen is equipped so well that we easily made a gourmet meal for six one evening. The TV is adequate with basic satellite channels. There were video games, but we're not into those so I cannot comment. GREAT beach area for kids. Wonderful swimming. Lake is very suitable for some boating and fishing. Overall, completely thrilled with our stay. Aside from older carpeting (it was clean and smelled fine, but simply older), the rest of the house is wonderful. And since the older carpet allowed our dog to come, it was WELL worth it!!! The house is PERFECT. Feel free to contact me directly with any questions. I would absolutely recommend this place to friends and family, and will return again!!
