Area Description

Our seven miles of pristine sugar-soft sand beaches along the Gulf of Mexico are among the finest in the United States. Sheltered by the long arm of the St. Joseph Peninsula, Mexico Beach has no undertow. The whole family can swim, wade, snorkel, find that special seashell, or just let the sugar white sand squeak underfoot.

Mexico Beach offers all the Gulf's bounty. Fish from our community pier, along our unique canal city-park or surf cast the emerald green shoreline. Try a deep-sea charter. Local charter boats whisk you to prime fishing mounds within minutes of your front door.

Recreation doesn't end at the shoreline. Mexico Beach has free municipal tennis and basketball courts. Golfers play Port St. Joe Country Club, just 15 minutes east of Mexico Beach. Many more courses are within easy reach. Mexico Beach and its surroundings offer excellent restaurants to meet any occasion, from a family picnic to that special romantic evening. Small gift shops and beach stores are there to meet all your needs.

An hour east of Mexico Beach is the historic Victorian sea-town of Apalachicola. Spend a day visiting galleries. Sit on a back porch overlooking boats and bay, eating world-renowned Apalachicola oysters. Catch a glimpse of the Florida Keys before the hype.

Need a break from Mexico Beach's serenity' Panama City offers big mall shopping and numerous art galleries. Panama City Beach's famed "Miracle Strip" is just 30 miles west of Mexico Beach.

So if looking for deep sea, charter sport, surf casting or pier fishing, sailing, snorkeling, water and jet skiing...then Mexico Beach is the place. Play golf or tennis...then Mexico Beach is the place. Tempted by excellent restaurants, a waterfront park for picnicking and quiet streets...then Mexico Beach is the place. Desire unlimited sun, surf, sand, and magnificent sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico.. then Mexico Beach is definitely the place.

Thank you for a great vacation, November 18, 2007
By Betty Jo Wade (na)
Our vacation‏...... We are back at home after spending a wonderful week in your home in Mexico Beach. Abode Moonglow was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. For the first time in a few years the entire family was able to go to the beach together and your place gave us enough room for everyone. My daughter recently remarried and added a three and seven year old into the family. They had never been to the beach so this was quite an adventure for them. Our other two grandchildren (8 and 6),veteran beach-goers, had a good time introducing them to the water and the sand. It was very nice to have a place where we could just set up our camp (canopy, umbrellas, chairs, beach toys, etc) at the first of the week and leave them down on the beach all week long. Again thank you for the wonderful place to spend the week. Betty Jo Wade and family  more...

 What a Great Place!, November 13, 2007
By Christine Houston (Cuba, MO)
Our whole family was able to take a vacation together this year and enjoyed staying in this home very much. It was nice to enough to be able to relax in, but not SOOOO nice that we worried about not being able to relax in it. The screened porch was great on those hot nights, and the upper balcony was a great place to soak up the sun. The views were awesome, and there were plenty of things to do w/in walking distance. We enjoyed ourselves very much, and look forward to visiting this property again.  more...
