Description of the Miramar de Santa Cruz vacation home rental

Located directly on the ocean, in a protected bay.
A stay in " Simpatico " is rich and rewarding for everyone who has visited. It is a very good value!
A classic style bungalow in an area of Mexican vacation homes and real Mexico, Spanish is spoken.
There is a clear swimming river alongside the property, the gardens, and wide ocean view. The house is right on the ocean with a nice sandy beach about 5 minutes away. A couple of low key places to eat fresh fish and have a cool one are a 10 minute walk the other direction down the beach. Groceries are 5 minute walk past that. Or simply take the bikes that are provided. There's buses from the airport, they stop very close to "Simpatico".

Awesome Beachfront House!

January 2, 2013

San Blas, a sleepy little town that I frequently visited decades ago… and recently I had a chance to go back! At first I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to book a place in town, but Casa Simpatico, being a few miles away turned out to be a better choice for several reasons. The location is away from town and also away from the mosquitoes – which is one problem with San Blas, and being on a semi private beach is always awesome! Casa Simpatico a fairly new house (10 yrs?) and is well furnished with everything you will need! I especially loved seeing a French press for my coffee since I forgot mine! The house is on about an acre or so and there are no neighbors within sight – so the lot seems much bigger. If you get tired of the beach there is a lot of green grass shaded by coconut palms in the yard, which as mentioned is steps to the beach. It really doesn’t get much better than this! It certainly will take long before I return again!

Owner's reply:

Simpatico Fantastico

October 16, 2008

When we arrived at dusk in the property, we were amazed by the sunset view and the huge beautiful yard facing the sea. This place is very simple but very welcoming and Andrew, the owner, is now improving the comfort (a new bed that would have made a 5 star review, is now on its way, too late for us unfortunately). We were a few feet away from the rocky shore (some locals with their family enjoy it too...), 5 or 10 minutes walk for restaurants, a few miles away from an incredibly long and sandy beach where the sunsets are terrific! Despite the moskitoes (depending on the season), we had a great time and Simpatico is a great retreat for people who do not like the touristic globalization of Puerto Vallarta (1h30mn away). Definitely a great deal.

A true Mexican experience

None of your big resort amenities. You get the Pacific Ocean set in a tropical jungle. With a fresh-running stream right next door. There is no town, but little outposts along the way. Fish, fruit, cold beer. Need more? Think you won't like it? You don't know because you have not tried it. I did and loved it. Beyond peaceful. And, world-class surfing 15-20 minutes away.

Great expierence in old Mexico

August 8, 2004

This place is a definite sleeper. It won't get any better when it is found out. Inexpensive, great for the kids, fresh fruit and veggies, and locally caught fish. This is what we had in mind when we wanted quiet. Very comfortable with all the basics provided. Aricely cooks for us and does the laundry- great family. Roberto is indispensable.
