Loved the quietness and the great view

My sister & I stay here for a week and John & Kathy are the nicest host we ever had. They go out of the way to make our stay wonderful and feel like home in San Diego Enough though we only stay for a week. I feel like family to them. The studio is nice and cozy. Clean, comfortable, and cute little studio

We had a very nice experience staying at studio 101, which is the smaller of their two studios. The studio was very clean and comfortable which was important to us. The owners are wonderful! They were kind and very helpful when we asked them questions about the area, recommending places to eat and things to do. They really do make you feel like you’re a friend, not just a tenant ☺. The room is decorated nicely and they keep little things here and there in case you forget something from home (toothbrushes and things like that). They even have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower so you don’t have to take any if you don’t want to. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone. It beats getting a hotel and the location is perfect! We were able to get to places quickly and easily. Thanks John and Kathy for a wonderful experience!

Excellent hosts!

John & Cathy were excellent hosts. They have created a little paradise for their guests on the back patio and upper deck. We appreciated their hospitality and pointers of what to do in the Mission bay area. They are good at balancing guest's privacy with hostpitality. We also enjoyed sharing drinks with them while watching the fireworks across the bay.

My husband and I were pleased to have the opportunity to stay here for our anniversary. Kathy and John welcomed us with warmth and hospitality. Affordable, clean, comfortable, and excellent location to all of the major San Diego attractions. They have an amazing view of the bay from the third story deck where we watched the Sea World fireworks. They have bikes and other toys to make your beach days fun. We were both very pleased and fortunate to have met such nice people, Kathy, John and their granddaughter. We will be back!

If your looking for a place to stay in San Diego...stop looking ! This is the place. John and Kathy treated me like I was a member of their family. The hospitality was second to none. You don't get their type of service at a hotel. The property was spotless, the location was perfect and the memories are long lasting. Thank you John and Kathy...you will be seeing me again !

We were in San Diego for a confernce and opted out of staying in a boring hotel. We loved Kathy and John's place. The hosts are gracious and giving people. The place is conveniently located to most of the highlights in San Diego. We absolutely would stay here again if we revisit San Diego. San Diego has a fine variety of ethnic restaurants, For very good improv comedy go to National Comedy Theater. Enjoy the half-priced sushi at happy hour 3:00-6:00 at Rapongi in La Jolla. Visit the mission and the museums in Balboa Park.

We recently visited San Diego for a conference. The first part of the trip was spent downtown for work and then after the conferece we checked out of the hotel and moved to Mission Bay. This was the perfect spot for myself, husband and our two year old son. Kathy and John were the most gracious hosts and we loved every minute of our stay there. We will definately be back the next time we visit San Diego.

Although the property is excellent what really makes staying here extra special is Kathy & John. This couple go out of their way to make sure that your every need is met and that you have the best holiday possible. Kathy went out of her way to take us to Sea World so that we would not have to pay the parking fees, and also drove us to the airport when we were leaving. If we are ever back in San Diego we will certainly want to stay here again. The view of the bay from the sundeck is stunning, as is being able to watch the sunset. The location is also great for access to Mission Bay, the freeway and most major attractions, e.g. with Sea World only a few miles away. We would certainly recommend staying here.

Very Relaxing

We decided to try something different than a hotel or spa for a change. The price was right and Cathy couldn't have been any more helpful or sweet. She sent us several links to shopping and spas in the local SD area. Amazing view of the bay from the 3rd story deck. Comfortable bed, (even though I was hesitant about a murphy bed)the sheets and comforter were wonderful with very high thread counts! We used the bikes she advertised and had a blast going down to PB for lunch via Mission Bay. Easy access to the freeways and beaches. We will be back!

We stayed in the smaller unit and it was perfect for our needs. So much to see and so close. We walked every day at Mission Bay Park and saw just about everything we came to see. Drove up the coast on 101 which was a beautiful drive. Stopped at all the towns along the way. The Gaslamp district is wonderful - we stayed the entire day and took the Trolley tour which included Old Town and Coronado Island. Coffee at the Del Coronado...ahhhh. Kathy and John are great and overall if you want a place that is close to everything and homey then this is it.

I had a fantastic stay at Mission Bay Condo while attending a conference at the San Diego Hilton and Resort 1.3 miles away. Kathy and John are absolutely the most fantastic hosts! I can't say enough about the specific accommodations they made to help me with some unique transportation needs, shipments to their home in advance of my arrival, lemons off of their tree to make my special tea, airport pick-up and return, and so much more. They are the best hosts I have ever experienced. I loved the unit and especially the beautiful and peaceful back yard where I hosted a colleague for a lovely afternoon snack. The private back yard even has a small putting green. From the third floor deck you can also see Mission Bay. The stereo is great, high speed internet, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. All in all a great place to stay as a business traveler. One nuance to be aware of is that the studio has one sink- it's the size of a small kitchen sink and is located in the bathroom.
