Description of the Monmouth vacation chalet rental

Our family has built a beautiful 2,000 square foot Log home on the shores of Cobbossee Lake. We have a fabulous 600+ foot wooded shoreline and 13 acres of land. The loons, ospreys and bald eagles are always nearby. You can swim, ski, and fish right off the dock. The bass and pike fishing on Cobbossee is famous. If you are considering buying a Log Home, this is a great way to test drive one for a week or two. We offer many Log Home and Timber Frame Home options and can discuss them with you if you are interested.

Area Information

Our property is in the midst of horse farms and the historically rich area of Monmouth. The property is located close to Augusta, the state capital.

Other Fees: Refundable Damage Deposit $500 REQUIRED. If a pet will accompany you then the Damage Deposit increases to $800. An Animal Agreement will need to be completed for the animal. Cleaning at the end of your stay can be done for you, AT AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Arrangements for this must be made prior to stay.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities

We provide a canoe and a kayak for those activities. However, for all other outside/water activities, you must supply your own equipment i.e. life jackets, jet skis, snorkeling, power boating, fishing, sailing, water skiing, windsurfing, etc.

WE ALLOW PETS, ALSO. WE DO REQUIRE AN ANIMAL AGREEMENT TO BE SIGNED AND REQUIRE A PAYMENT OF A HIGHER SECURITY DEPOSIT.

You must also secure your own fishing and boating licenses as per the laws of the State of Maine.

Fantastic Home on a Beautiful Lake

Hi, My family had been vacationing in Maine during the summers for nearly 30 years prior to finding this beautiful, dog friendly home on Lake Cobbessee. We rented it for 2 weeks in early August in 2009 and 2010 and up until last week planned to do so again this year; however, we just bought a lake front property in Me (my wife's dream for many years) and therefore no longer need to rent.
