Description of the Monticello vacation home rental

This darling house on Swinging Bridge lake has 2 bedrooms plus a bonus room (with bed) and sleeps 5-6 people. There is also a master suite with an attached bathroom. Out the back door you can walk a few steps and be in the water. There is a dock and sandy beach and is on a lake where you can rent motor boats. This house is decorated and used by its owners - not just a rental so its comfortable and cared for. Swim, boat or fish on the lake. Sit in the house or on the deck and enjoy the views of the lake or go in and enjoy! Perfect week getaway for the hot days of summer!

Or in the winter take in the snowy trees and snow shoe or cross country ski on the frozen lake!

Area Description

Nearby are cute towns including Jeffersonville, Narrowsburg and Calicoon. Hiking/boating/tennis/golf/antique shopping....

We enjoyed our stay at the house which is charming, comfortable and decorated in such good taste. The view of the lake is so peaceful and seeing the reflection of the surrounding trees in the lake at various times of the day is truly beautiful. Watching the birds eat from the bird feeder on the deck was an entertainment in itself. The house is in the woods and, during the week, which is when we were there, the lake and surrounding area was very quiet and serene.

Everything was wonderful. The cabin had everything we needed even an extra pair of swimming goggles which my son forgot. The lake was clean and refreshing, and we all had a great time. I plan on returning.

We had a lovely time at this rental property and the owners were very friendly and helpful (even when they had to help us deal with a minor household issue from afar). The house was the perfect size for our group (6 adults, 2 toddlers), the beds were very comfortable, and we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with its open layout and extensive supply of good utensils and cookware. The outside areas were as nice as they appear in the photos: a beautiful deck, shady table area for particularly hot days, and comfy beach platform close to the water. The water was a great temperature for swimming, and although there was decent amount of boat traffic on the weekend, on the weekdays it was lovely to swim across the lake. Really a beautiful place.
