Description of the Montreal vacation apartment rental

Bright and sunny, and in the heart of Little Italy, one of Montreal's most cosmopolitan neighborhoods.

Located on a quiet residential street, this elegant, contemporary-styled loft is fully furnished and features hardwood floors, queen-size bed, telephone, cable TV, equipped kitchen, wireless Internet, etc.

Only a 10 minute subway ride to downtown, the studio is just a stone-throw's from the subway and Jean-Talon market. The streets and parks of this friendly neighborhood are also worth exploring and after a day of wandering, one can enjoy the beautiful sunset views from the studio's balcony.

Easy living, Montreal style.

Area Description

LITTLE ITALY is located towards the north end of St-Laurent Boulevard, this is the area where the first Italian immigrants settled in Montreal. The district is now crammed with shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. There is a festival atmosphere year-round as businesses vie with one another to attract customers and the streets overflow with pedestrians and fancy sports cars on weekends.

The hub of the neighborhood is the Jean Talon Market. As authentic an open air market as you're likely to find anywhere in North America, the market features fine foods and produce year-round (not to miss are Quebec's superb cheeses and ice-ciders).

 A day in the life .., January 12, 2009
By katherine (Toronto, Canada)
attention all you travellers who dream of checking out whether the grass really is greener elsewhere. This apartment allowed me to do just that. Four days, five nights - and time to explore Montreal. Previously, I'd stayed at the Queen Elizabeth, and found myself not really understanding why people say they loved Montreal. The downtown is touristy, overpriced, and didn't really cater to someone with a bit of a taste for adventure. Imagine my delight to step into a fully furnished apartment, which held all the conveniences of home, and which was located in a small neighbourhood. Daily trips to the local market (my gosh - they really know good quality food in the real Montreal!), evening excursions using the Metro which was really close, and a grocery store a block away. I recommend this highly to those who choose the path less travelled, and hope you have the adventure you're looking for, as I did!

Good people and very responsive. Apartment is spotless. Left help tourist information about the area. Jean Talon Market and the Metro very close. Good place to stay.

his place was everything we were looking for. It was in a quiet location, yet within walking distance to the Jean Talon market and the Metro. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Montreal.
