I had a great experience staying at this property during my visit for the 2012 Jazz Festival. The property manager was very professional and prompt. The apartment is just as stated in the description, on a friendly, quiet residential street one block away from the famous Jean-Talon open-air market and 2 blocks away from the metro station of the same name. It was very convenient to get to the apartment and easy to get downtown and all around the city. Other than the market, there are plenty of grocery stores, ethnic food shops and quaint restaurants within a block of the apartment and a short walk from the Little Italy district which was great fun during the Eurocup soccer finals match (before they lost to Spain).

My family and I had a wonderful stay at La Dolce Vita. The hosts are helpful and kind. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and eventful. You are close to the Jean Talon Market and the Jean Talon metro stop. The La Dolce Vita property is welcoming. I highly recommend this property.

A day in the life ..

attention all you travellers who dream of checking out whether the grass really is greener elsewhere. This apartment allowed me to do just that. Four days, five nights - and time to explore Montreal. Previously, I'd stayed at the Queen Elizabeth, and found myself not really understanding why people say they loved Montreal. The downtown is touristy, overpriced, and didn't really cater to someone with a bit of a taste for adventure. Imagine my delight to step into a fully furnished apartment, which held all the conveniences of home, and which was located in a small neighbourhood. Daily trips to the local market (my gosh - they really know good quality food in the real Montreal!), evening excursions using the Metro which was really close, and a grocery store a block away. I recommend this highly to those who choose the path less travelled, and hope you have the adventure you're looking for, as I did!
