Elegantly furnished 2-bedroom, two level victorian condo. There are 35 units with an foliage courtyard overlooking Montreal Mt. Royal Park. The unit has a warm & cozy atmosphere with a touch of old and new and tastefully decorated with antiques.
The Living Room, with a natural fireplace, open concept to the dinning room, followed by a closed kitchen. Stained glass bay window, seats one, great for reading, with a view of Montreal Mt. Royal Park. The Dinning Room, wall-to-wall mirror reflects into the garden courtyard with an oak table that seats six.
The master bedroom has a double brass bed with a hand painted antique armoire, television & ensuite full bathroom.
The second level has twin beds (sleeps 2) with a powder room and laundry room. A television/dvd, call display, call waiting, conference call phone, and high speed Internet. This unit has access to the sauna.
Thru the back door of the condo, (St. Urbain Street)or a quick run, or walk around the complex to our famous "Provigo" a large food chain store, providing a health section. Also SAQ, (liquor store) is at your disposal. We are still on St. Urbain St., have brunch at "Beautys" open since 1948, well known - five star, luncheonette prices moderate. Highly recommended.
known as the "Main” or “Le Boulevard”. Why do we refer to it as the “Main”? It is the center of Montreal city (1 block from the condo) provides many multi-ethnic fine grocery stores, European butchers, clothing boutiques, restaurants, bars from moderate to expensive, and of course the famous "Schwartz's" smoke meat and "Moishes Steakhouse".
We are on the “Main”- a ten-minute walk to Little Italy, Napoli’s fine Italian cuisine, after drinks at Buno Noto.
Almost forgot around the corner on Jean Talon Street, there is a fresh produce market, various cheese & butcher and flower shops.
Don’t forget Quebec’s famous maple syrup and honey. Try the Mint honey.
St. Denis Street,
(4 blocks from the condo), put on your sneakers, this is a very long street, abundance of restaurants, (moderate to expensive) bristol’s & side-walk cafes galore, various health food & herbs stores, high fashion clothing to glamorous furs, imported & made in Quebec kitchen wares to linens, furniture, libraries and paper products, lingerie, medieval & solitary witches, exclusive jewel shops and live entertainment.
Prince Arthur & Duluth Streets,
(4 blocks from the condo) bring your own wine restaurants, inexpensive/moderate. Boutiques are open until 11:00 p.m. After dinner take a stroll to Carre St. Louis, listen to the musicians play music, or sit on a bench by the water fountain tete a tete.
Mt. Royal Street & upscale Laurier & Bernard Ave.
1-5 blocks from the condo from A-Z boutiques, or pampering yourself at Lise Waiters’ Spa’s. Dine at “Chez Levesque” fine French cuisine after drinks at “Baldwin Pharmabar, upscale & light jazz or “Whiskeys” on Bernard Ave. known for their imported fine scotches and cigars.
Mile End District, famous Fairmont Bagels, open 24/7, on Fairmont Street, essences from around the world, Bristol’s, & pastry shops. Sit outside at “Fargo” have Sunday Brunch or lunch on Hutchison & Fairmont. This is a hipster area, filmmakers, musicians, writers, & professionals
China town, - St. Laurent Blvd., (10 blocks from the condo or take St. Urbain bus -3 minutes ride) various blends of natural green tea, jewellery, dim sim on Clark Street, 5*(moderate prices).
Downtown Montreal Crescent Street, (5 minutes from condo by taxi) dine at Thursdays. French cuisine (moderate prices to expensive, chic restaurant & 3 clubs) all on the same premises.
Gay Village (15 minutes by metro) Club Sandwich Restaurant also a Hotel – best clubs in Montreal, 1 club sufficient for two, many boutiques, hair salons, entertainment
Minutes away to McGill University, Universite de Montreal, UQAM, the Convention Centre. Hotel Dieu or Royal Victoria & Montreal General Hospitals are between 1-5 minutes from the condo. There is an emergency clinic on St. Laurent & Mt. Royal Street, (1 block from condo).
Westmount & Old Montreal, Shopping for antiques, look no further, Sherbrooke Street, (Westmount) or Notre Dame St. (Old Montreal) have the best selections. (2 miles from condo)
A 10-minute drive to Nuns'Island Golf Club, also has indoor tennis club and a yacht club, or the Challenger Golf Club in Ville St. Laurent (new) Suburb golf clubs upon request, a list will be available with directions.

Our family of three had a wonderful time in Montreal and it was based on the lovely condo that we rented from Beverly Bland. It was beautifully decorated, had all the conveniences of home and it was located in a friendly and quiet neighborhood. We hardly knew there were any neighbors it was so quiet. Beverly was so helpful with tips of a delicous bakery to walk to and where to buy groceries etc. The park setting is really extraordinary because there are so many opportunities to relax in the park right across the street. We will definitely try to stay here when we go back to visit Montreal. Our family felt so welcome in this beautiful and comfrotable condo.
We enjoyed our trip to Montreal, thanks to Beverley with all her suggestions where to shop and dine. The grogery store, Provigo was most convenient to just walk across the street.
The condo most charming, and very well decorated also very quiet.
