My husband and I and our two children, age 9 and 13, recently stayed at glebe cottage on our vacation. When we arrived, everything was ready and waiting. The house was clean and nicely decorated. Everything worked wonderfully. The kids loved the pool table. We were a short drive from Westmoreland State Park and several nice beaches. The pool was about 9 blocks away. The water was beautiful and all the people there were so friendly. At first it seemed like we drove forever in the middle of nowhere but once we came and went a few times it wasn't so bad. We drove to D.C in about 2-2 1/2 hours. We chose this location to stay atbecause it was really central to where we wanted to go. We spend alot of time at the house. It was really comfortable and we really felt at home and very much relaxed. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice quiet neighborhood to hang out in. Not alot of traffic or noise so it is the perfect getaway for anyone looking for a peaceful vacation.

The house is very nice and cozy. Unfortunately it is located about 1 mile away from both the river and the pool. The private beach on the picture is a community private beach, which is tiny. The pool is large and clean. If you own a boat, that property is a great place to spend a vacation. Otherwise it is not so great.
This is Virginia's best kept secret!
