Great Place!! Fantastic view of Lake Apopka and its wildlife. My husband and I rented the cabin for a fishing trip. We fished many different lakes. The lakes were all in a short distance from our cottage. The owners (and family) were extremely nice people and very helpful. The "fish camp' gives you the privacy you want, as well as being only a short distance from restaurants and shopping. Great Location!! We hope to return.

Jacqueline was so gracious she had everything you needed in the Wine Cottage. The area has a nice town that you could take morring or evenings walks and be safe. The cotaage was very relaxing and quiet. It was nice to go down to the dock and fish or just relax. Everyone who lives in the area was so nice and friendly.

Very clean, compact Cottage in a lovely quiet setting away from all the hustle & bustle of urban areas.Enjoyed sitting on our deck watching alligators floating in the lake and listening to all the birds etc. around us. Although the cottage can sleep 4 we feel it is really ideal for a couple. Even though the other cottages are quite close the neighbours were wonderful and your privacy is totally respected and you can feel like you are completely alone. Ideal for a couple who want a relaxing stay where it is nice and warm while winter is happening at home Our hosts made us aware of local attractions, shopping areas etc. and were quick to help if any problems arose. All in all we certainly enjoyed the month we stayed at this location.

The Perfect Honeymoon

After a long drive from Tennessee to the Wine Cottage, we were greeted by Jackie and were blown away with both how absolutely nice and caring she is, but also just how beautiful the cottage is. We were tired after a 13 hour drive, and she was so sweet and even offered to cook us breakfast. The cottage overlooks a beautiful lake with hammocks and a deck to relax on and enjoy the view. We spent quite a bit of time at our cottage because it was so relaxing, peaceful, and just all-around wonderful. The large bed was comfortable, the kitchen was clean and the sofa bed was cozy for when we wanted to relax in the living room and watch movies. It's less than five minutes to Publix, and twenty minutes to Orlando. It's private, so we had a nice, quite honeymoon with lots of alone time to lounge and do as we please. Jackie was an absolute blessing and did everything she could to ensure we had the perfect honeymoon, which we definitely did, thanks in great part to her and her amazing cottage. It's a great deal, was easy to keep tidy, and in a perfect location. I highly recommend it to everyone, especially couples who want to relax and need privacy. Book this for your vacation or honeymoon - you won't regret it!

A whole new Florida experience.

We can't wait to go back. Nice to get away from the commercialism of Orlando. The host and hostesses were the some of the nicest people we have ever met. We felt more like family than renters. This is the place to be if you like to hang out by the lake and just enjoy the peace and quiet. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. Its a really nice community, very "old Florida"feel. Not far from good food and shopping. It was neat to see all the old orange groves in the area.

The best week ever

The family that own and manage this place are simply wonderful. So are the cottages. My wife and I wanted a location close to Orlando but rural and on the water. And close to some good golf. We got all we asked for an more. The cottages and the property are lovingly cared for and the owners have thought about just about everything. Watching the sun go down and come up from the deck and watching the gators and herons at play (not together) was simply amazing. You will love this spot if you like quiet, clean and cozy.

Great little cottage, lake and trees

I was looking for a place that is reasonable, quiet, warm and with good scenery, along with good neighbors. I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived, seeing both the lake and the huge old live oaks with Spanish moss. The owner and brother's family who live next door gave the guests a great pontoon boat ride the next day. They were there in another cottage for the weekend, and hospitality went on and on, including a great chili dinner on Sunday night. So it is easy to say that there is a family feeling there. Although it was quiet all day, it was at night as well. Aside from great music on several channels on the TV, the bullfrogs also provided quite a chorus, and the black sky had hundreds of stars and constellations. The kitchen is very well stocked, including all the spices you could want. My week there was wonderful! Just bring a cell phone (no phone), and see if the wireless connections can be improved.
