LAKEFRONT COTTAGE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA

Lakefront cabin in the heart of Central Florida in Lake County just west of Orlando. There are five completely remodeled cottages that were part of an old "fish camp" from the 1940's. It is situated in a quaint, small Florida town, Montverde, close to golfing, bicycling and Disney and Universal theme parks but removed from congestion and commercialism.
Enjoy quiet, peaceful days overlooking the lake. Bring your boat, launch it from our ramp and keep in under our covered boat slips for guests. Or, borrow a canoe or rowboat or ask for a ride on our pontoon boat to explore the lake's amazing bird population and wildlife. There is world class bicycling in the hills betweeen Montverde and Clermont and trails for hiking and cycling. Golfers come from all over the world to play the numerous nearby golf courses.
The cabin is very clean and charmingly decorated with fresh linens and has new dishes and pans in its full kitchen. We just finished a marvelous upgrade to this cottage including central HVAC, a new open floorplan with cathedral ceiling in the porch area and elegant tile floors with area rugs throughout. The bathroom was completely remodeled with a new tile shower and fixtures. The bedroom area has a California King that can be divided into two twin beds on request and the living area has a pull out sofa bed and two recliner chairs. The front concrete patio overlooks Florida's 4th largest lake which was recently recognized as the best lake for bird watching in all Florida. Laundry facilities are on site.

Central Florida is a major destination for so many reasons including Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios with "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter."
However, the Clermont/Winter Garden area, 30 minutes west of Orlando, is particularly unique for its history and beauty. If you want to experience a different Florida - the old Florida with moss covered trees and hundreds of lakes amid the rolling hills - then come to Montverde to relax and renew.
Montverde is home to "The Montverde Academy" an international preperatory school with its picturesque campus. You can walk to the library, tennis courts, playgrounds and post office or drive five country miles to shopping areas with restaurants and entertainment.
This is a perfect location for "snowbirds" looking for a month or more away from the snowy north or an inexpensive alternative for a family visiting Cental Florida's theme parks. We are just a day trip away from the beaches on either coast.
