Description of the Monument Beach vacation guesthouse rental

YEAR ROUND Breathtaking views and saltwater beach-with marina- are just 333 steps from this immaculate Cape Cod retreat. Three bedrooms, each decorated with unique Victorian and Cape historical flare. Antique furnishings throughout compliment brand new hardwood floors and bedding. Choose the "Grace Jay" queen room with romantic antique canopy -fluffy pillows invite one to a restful slumber. The "Melanie Robin" queen bedroom is fit for a princess on vacation. The "Heather Rene" room boasts 2 twin beds. Bedrooms with built in bookshelves and desks invite one to write postcards or read on rainy eve. All bedrooms have air-conditioning. On sight Inn Keepers (living quarters in back)will assist in any guest house concerns. The owners are of the very few listed who obtain licenses, permits, and yearly inspections from the Health Dept. and Fire Dept. The house has all required code fire alarms and passed all inspections: (clearly posted in home)
House has FREE Wireless Internet.

One completely stocked bathroom upstairs including toiletries, shower n beach towels, hair dryer. A second new half bath- with hardwood floors, pedestal sink- is conveniently located downstairs off a cozy living room with TV and DVD. This room closes off to rest of house to accommodate early risers or late night movie buffs. A new private deck is off this room, perfect for watching sunsets or enjoying our lovely perennial gardens.

The new~private~outside shower has been added stocked with fresh towels, soaps and flowers!

The country kitchen/dining room has 4 burner stove, full size fridge, new cabinets fully stocked, in a bright airy room with cathedral ceilings and ocean breezes. Built in china cabinet and fireplace mantel displays are unique.
You may choose to grill out on the cozy new deck, eating fresh fare from local seafood markets. If you'd rather go out, there are a number of excellent restaurants nearby. The owners, lifelong Cape Cod residents, will be glad to recommend things to do and see!

Area Information

Monument Beach is a village in Bourne, Massachusetts, on the upper portion of Cape Cod. It's ideally situated to avoid much of the traffic that tends to bottleneck on the quiet Cape Cod roads, yet still gives you the stunning vistas and quaint peacefulness that characterize a "Cape escape." As soon as you come over the Bourne Bridge, you will ease onto a back road -- your destination is just a mile or so away! Our town features several beaches (both ocean and harbor sides), and the Inn is conveniently located just steps from beautiful Monument Beach, a family friendly spot with lifeguards on duty,a kid friendly park with swings and playground, ball field, new tennis court and a snack shack open all summer. WHISTLE STOP Ice Cream shop across the street from train station has the best cold treats! Golf enthusiasts must visit Brook Side Club and tee off with breathtaking ocean views!! The club's Sunset Grill is fabulous -dining with ocean views.
Yes...The Chart Room is very close to us as well.
Cape Cod Canal offers endless opportunity to every member of the family. The area surrounding the Guest House is a quiet, residential setting. very nice accomodation

house was immaculate. tastefully decorated. furnished with everything you could want from coffee pot to iron to dish towels. no oven due to town ordinance. microwave, stove top, toaster, refrigerator. a/c in bedrooms. bedrooms upstairs so better for families with older children or all adults. outdoor table, chairs, bbq grill, shower. very helpful and welcoming owners, readily available for any questions, problems.

From the first meeting with Kim and Terry, the Innkeepers, the feeling was "this is going to be great fun", and it was. The accomodations are fantastic. From the moment you walk in the front door, you can feel the cozy, comfy vibe that will set the mood for your entire stay. We had a ball, especially when the little baker elf would leave surprises at our front door. Our family loved the house! Great location, very clean and homy. The inn keepers are very warm and comforting. Kim backed us baronies and other baking goods almost every day. The area is very private and not your typical tourist area. We would recommend it highly.

Such a unique and very special place! Kim and Terry make sure your every need is met. The home made goodies and surprise treats are something you won't find in other rentals. The house is absolutely spotless clean. The beds are all made up SO pretty , so you don't need to bring your sheets OR towels! There is air conditioning but we didn't need it, the sea breeze was better! The bathrooms have loads of towels, beach towels too. The kitchen has cathedral ceiling with everything you need except an oven. Kim said if we wanted anything baked she'd be happy to do it for us. Oh and the trash is picked up for you each day so you don't have to worry about what to do with it all week. There are 2 big flat screen TV's. VERY COOL that you can close off the door to little family room. There's a little bathroom in there and a new sofa bed, so you could use that as a downstairs bedroom. 3 bedrooms upstairs and anther bathroom. My kids LOVED the OUTSIDE shower!!! There is a gazebo outside with grills and outside shower next to it. We had a ball out there! We loved their beach! There are actually 2 beaches to walk to. We came to the Cape to get away from traffic and flocks of people......and their beaches give you that. One beach has swings and a play gym right on beach, and tennis courts, and you can get an ice cream too.
We had such a good time and recommend this place very much.

Our first trip to Cape Cod. Your hosts are very friendly and love people. They make you feel like family. They will give you coupons, brochures and help you find your way around. The house is immaculate. The home cooking is wonderful.
We love Cape Cod and our new family. We are coming back soon.

August 2012 has been the best of our summer! Oh how lucky we were to find this wonderful house, hosts and spot on Cape Cod!!
Our kids cried all the way home they loved Kim so much and her cookies! Terry fishes the canal and gave us fresh bass! They prepared it perfectly and cooked it on the grill, it was amazing!
They live next door so can be over to help you if you need any.
The house is perfect! 3 bedrooms upstairs, a bright open kitchen and dining with just what you need, even a big flat screen tv. Another room downstairs with big tv and bathroom goes out to deck and then to the gazeb. There's badminton and beach chairs to walk down to beach. There's free wireless internet so we could use our tablets and lap tops. We had so much fun and highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a very special vacation.

We stayed here when we attended a wedding on the Cape. We were amazed with all the little extras this house has. It's much more than just renting a house. We had a lot of things needing ironing for the wedding. I went next door to ask Kim to borrow an iron, and she ended up ironing all our clothes! (there is an iron in the house we just didn't see it) Everything is close by and the beach is great! No crowds and free. You walk down the hill to the beach, they have chairs and towels for you to borrow. My friends and I walked all around the island near the beach, it was great fun. We even dug some clams and Kim cooked them for us!
The canal is near by. We rode our bikes all the way to the other end and had a nice lunch at Seafood Sam's. The canal is awesome. Sooo much to see and do....we are coming back to stay longer. The ferry to Martha's Vineyard is nearby too.
