Area Information
Morro Bay is located on the Central Coast about halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Boutique shopping is abundant. Dine downtown, on the water or on the Ferry. Within less than 30 mile there is Hearst Castle, Pismo Beach, Avila Beach, Montano De Oro National Park, over 40 wineries, and of course a gorgeous stretch of California beaches. Morro Bay also has annual events such as Winter Bird Festival, Celebrate Morro Bay Parade, Morro Bay Kite Festival, Cruisin' Morro Bay Car Show, Morro Bay Music Festival, 4th of July Fireworks, Rock to Pier Run, Art in the Park, Avocado & Margarita Festival, Harbor Festival, Christmas Street Faire, Lighted Boat Parade, and much more.

We are former residents & gift shop owners of Morro Bay. We love to visit 1-2 times a year but, have always stayed in hotels. We found this lovely little beach cottage this year and had such a wonderful time. We were so impressed by the cleanliness of the cottage, the amenities were perfect it had everything one would need. Both bedrooms had very comfortable beds, the dishwasher & Washer/Dryer were a big plus, the little front yard was great for sitting out in the morning to have coffee, very nice & quiet neighborhood, a nice walk to the beach, and it just so happens that the first home we had in Morro Bay 9 years ago was just one street over. The owners are amazing! Very kind, sweet people!! Thank you so much to the owners for a very cozy, relaxing stay at your cottage. Adorable beach cottage !! House was fully stocked with everything needed. Impressed with the basket of brochures of places in the area and maps of things todo and places to go. A lot of love and thought was put into that. House is super clean! Beds are so comfortable !! Owners are very kind. And take pride into their home. The cottage is beautiful inside and out, everything you need is there:) Quiet neighborhood. Will stay again and again. I have highly recommended to others already and will continue. Worth every penny spent (affordable place too !!)

Nice clean home. As many things as we needed were there. I wish we could have stayed there longer than one night. So much to see in Morro Bay. Kite Festival was awesome. Priced reasonably. The bed was very comfy. We are fellow vacation rental owners. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

I didn't get the chance to actually stay at this cottage. However the couple that owns it are extremely honest people. I had planned on staying here during May 2013, however my trip got cancelled at last minute. I had already sent off the money order when I found out the trip would be cancelled. The owners sent me back the money order after I reported that my trip was cancelled. Very honest!

My fiance and I stayed in this cute little cottage for a week and a half last summer. It was a wonderful experience, It has a wonderful location, right across from the beach. It was very clean and well kept. Lots of great eateries nears by. My only complaint was that the bed was too firm to my liking. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this place to others. And I look forward to staying here again in the future.

The cottage was more than we expected. It eas clean,well stocked and we lacked for nothing. We stocked the small cooler for lunches and having a "home" to return to each day was wonderful. It was one of the best vacation locations we have had as it allowed ua to fix dinner each night instead of always eating out. We have talked to the owner since we left and will be using their property on our next visit to California.

We were very pleased with this rental. The location is convenient for biking to downtown Morro Bay (~10 min) or a walk down to the nearby beach. The unit is well stocked too--just buy from food from the nearby grocery store and you're all set.

This was a nice little cottage in a quiet residential neighborhood in Morro Bay. The house is small, but fine for 4 people. It was very clean and well stocked and the landlords were helpful and friendly. The beach is nearby - free parking and beach access just down the road. Easy 15 min drive to San Luis or a few minutes to the little village of Morro Bay. Nice park with a great playground right in the neighborhood - walking distance from the house. Definitely recommended.

This home was very clean and had plenty of room for (2) Adults and (2) Children. The beach was within walking distance and if you did not want to walk the trolley was 2 blocks. I highly recommend this great beach cottage home. The owners were helpful and responsive.

My husband and I stayed here with our eight month old twins for a week. The location is good, close to the beach and a couple of blocks away from a nice park. The neighborhood is quiet and the fenced front yard was nice for relaxing in the evenings. The house is fully stocked with everything you need and more. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay! Wonderful location for a great escape to the Central Coast. This home is located on a quiet street and is close to everything the area has to offer. The home is immaculate and has all the amentities to make your stay not only enjoyable but easy. Although we didn't spend a lot of time at the house, more at Cal Poly graduation and the beach, it was as good as all the other reviews you've probably read. Clean, quiet, kitchen is as equipped as yours at home or better! Close to the beach and freeway although you hear NO freeway noise. It's so quiet!! Everything looks so new and clean. This charming little house is just a great alternative to staying in a standard motel room, for about the same price. It is quiet, private, very clean and well-kept, and centrally located for some great day trips. There's a full kitchen and laundry, and plenty of room for 2-4 people. No view, but for those of us on a budget, you can't beat it.

My GF and I stayed here for a weekend. The house is perfect for 1-4 people. Upon entering the house I noticed that it was very clean and had everything you need. It had plenty of towels, cooking utensils, blankets, and spices for cooking. The house is a short drive from the beach, located in a quiet neighborhood. This house is a great alternative to a hotel, for about the same price or less than a hotel, you get so much more! My gf and I will definitely be coming back for another visit.

This spotless and comfortable house was a perfect spot for my spouse and I to enjoy a long awaited reunion with our "California" children. The kitchen is ample and well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. All the sheets, towels, and blankets were in good supply, and good condition. Our hosts were attentive and friendly. We liked having maps, restaurant descriptions, and all the information about the area attractions. The beach is wonderful, especially for seeing the sunset. We hope to return.

To escape the triple digit heat in the Phoenix area we traveled to Morro Bay. This house is the neatest little place and in suburb condition. We enjoyed the home and then went on day trips all over the area. We loved all the little niceties in the home and it was just great. The only bad part was the weather. It was foggy and rather cool most of the time we were there. Otherwise, it was great.

Very nice place to stay! Very clean. Close driving distance to shopping, restaurants, fishing, etc. Would rent again. Most everything was provided for; linens and some essentials. The only challenge with several teenagers was the one bathroom! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

decided at the last minute to take a weekend trip to morro bay. found the sousa's home on craigslist and was able to make the reservation - absolutely no problem! it was so cute! not huge - but it didn't matter! it was clean, comfortable, affordable and minutes from wherever we wanted to go! definitely would recommend staying here!

highly recommended! I stayed here for a couple nights with my mom, sister and niece while they were visiting. we found the place very comfortable, cozy and clean. if only the weather was as good!

We just returned from our getaway to Morro Bay and had to tell you right away that we loved your home. It was just perfect for our family. The house was so clean and comfortable. Our little girls enjoyed playing in the front yard and slept very well while we were there – the best they’ve ever slept on a trip. I enjoyed how quiet and cozy the house was and how well it was equipped. The kitchen was perfect. I had no problem making meals and enjoyed the coffee and tea you had provided. We hope to come back to your home again this year.

We had a wonderful time. This cozy cottage is extremely well equipped & maintained and central to the many activities we enjoy. The comfortable beds, current furnishings and nice linens are big pluses. Can't wait to reschedule in the fall!

This is a darling place to stay. Extremely clean, close to everything, peaceful neighbors and the owner wonderful to deal with. The only reason it did not get 5 stars was that it was not right on the beach and there was no ocean view. But the house was equipped with everything and was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to my family and friends and I would stay there again anytime.
