Morro Bay, California is a place to discover your better nature. Located on the central coast midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, this historic fishing village has much to offer its visitors and residents. The most distinctive recognizable landmark associated with Morro Bay is the famous Morro Rock.

However, there is so much more to see and explore in and around Morro Bay. For nature lovers and bird watchers, Morro Bay Estuary provides a nourishing habitat to more than 250 species of birds and over two dozen endangered and threatened species.

The Morro Bay Natural History Museum, located in the Morro Bay State Park includes engaging exhibits, informative lectures, nature walks, and also features a discovery area for children offering hands on exploration.

There is never a shortage of things to do in Morro Bay. You can peruse boutiques and shops, or play golf on a world champion course. Discover a coastline of clean dunes, paddle down a silent estuary and spy on beautiful and rare birds, or sail in the wild Pacific just beyond the breakwater.

Morro Bay is also a wonderful starting point for visiting several attractions in San Luis Obispo County. Montaña de Oro (Mountain of Gold) State Park is just southwest of Morro Bay. The famous Hearst Castle is just a short drive north of Morro Bay, past the charming villages of Harmony and Cambria. To the east, you will find local wineries offering tastings of the famous Central Coast varietals.

Memorial Day get away

Our extended family of 7 spent a wonderful weekend at this home. Lots of room to be together but enough room to get away as well. Loved the gas fireplace and the bonus play room! Our 5 year old discovered ping pong! Kitchen was well equipped for our needs as were the bedrooms. Could have used more light in the living spaces and maybe another couch to accomodate all 7 in the living room at one time. Walking TO downtown was fine, about a mile, but back was tough - up hill all the way! Very quiet neighborhood, very little traffic. Lots of area information available. Manager very helpful, answered lots of questions from this first time vacation rental family! Were never able to hook into Wi-Fi, not sure if I had written wrong password or if there is a problem. Over all great experience. Would do again and recommend to others! Thanks for sharing your home!

Spring Break 2010
Review Submitted: June 28, 2010 Date of Stay: March 2010
First we did ping pong and then we went to the beach. And then the whole family came. The dinner was great and stores were close. My little sister and I had a great time playing in the sand and the water. When everyone woke up it was time for fun. When we had breakfast I couldn't stop thinking about Hearst Castle. Once we got back we went to the beach (me, my dog and my aunt) and we had races to the shore and back and who could get the dog ball back to my aunt first. Loved it. The dog won it 3 to 15. You know the dog was 15 points. The next day was fun because my best friend came over and we had dinner and went to the beach. When we came back we had a great dinner. The next day we had to leave but we had a great time in Morro Bay.

Mid-June family vacation
Review Submitted: June 28, 2010 Date of Stay: June 2010
Five nights have flown by, everything about our stay here has been great. Personally, I really enjoyed our stay in your lovely, comfortable house and I would certainly recommend it to any groups of family and friends as an ideal place to stay. Thank you for your help while we have been staying here, especially with the weather!!

Early Summer family gathering
Review Submitted: June 28, 2010 Date of Stay: June 2010
We've enjoyed our stay here. We went to Hearst Castle, which was beautiful. Our kids had not been there in years so it was really fun for them. We also enjoyed a day at the beach at Cayucos with our three grandchildren, 6, 10, 12 years. Of course we went to the shops here in Morro Bay and bought a few things and also went shopping in the 5 Cities area. My sister and brother-in-law live here in town so we spent a lot of time with them. We enjoyed our stay here and having our three kids, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren with us this week was great. The open areas of Ocean's Breeze are great in the house for Duane and his wheelchair. Thanks for everything!

We are here to celebrate the 84th birthday of our mother and grandma. We truly love the comfort of this wonderful home. It was great to have space to be together or apart as needed. The games, puzzles and X-Box were great. We enjoyed our time in Morro Bay, Cayucos, and Hearst Castle. We will definitely remember this property for our next visit to the Central Coast.

Summer Family Reunion
Review Submitted: July 25, 2010 Date of Stay: July 2010
July 21-25th, 2010

All our family was here for the family reunion. We enjoyed the area very much and enjoyed staying at this very unique home. Family enjoyed the X-Box, ping-pong and big-screen TV. Morro Bay was a delight and the shops offered many things for families. Restaurants and the view overlooking the pines, and going to the beach (which was fun for the kids to explore the starfish and shells). Thank you so much for the use of your home, it was a great delight.

*We enjoyed our family gathering in Morro Bay. The house was quite comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet and stores were conventiently located nearby to get any needed supplies. Thank you!

*Thanksgiving week '09 What a delightful stay at Ocean's Breeze. We did many of the touristy things - kayaking, hiking, "cruising" downtown, visiting Hearst Castle, and spending hours on the beach with our two dogs. Elaine was a brilliant hostess and her home is very well appointed. We'll hope to get back over Thanksgiving 2011. Thank you for your hospitality.

*Had a lovely family reunion in this well-stocked large home. People from Salt Lake City, Utah, Eugene, Oregon, San Jose, California and Phoenix, Arizona came together. We were satisfied with our stay at Ocean's Breeze. The kitchen, the large bathrooms and the DirecTV made our time in the house very livable while the wildlife, scenery and cool weather made our time about memorable. Thanks for the place.

*RATING: POSITIVE BOOKING: 5 NIGHT Our family reunion was very special. My brother Zeke celebrated his 50th birthday party at Del Mar Park in Morro Bay. There had to be 175 of us along with great food, and live entertainment from live music. So we danced and danced all day long. Family came from San Jose, Los Angeles, Fresno, Corcoran, Madera, Tulare, Hanford and Montery in California. Our brother Michael & Anne came from Middletown, Ohio. What a beautiful vacation. Our family has come to Morro Bay for the last 50 years. We absolutely love it here. The home is lovely and the accommodations were excellent. Thanks so much - we all hope to return soon.

*RATING: POSITIVE BOOKING: 7 NIGHT We had a lovely stay here at Ocean's Breeze. We loved all the decorations and accommodations. Your neighbors are very friendly and kind as well! We enjoyed many walks down to the waterfront with our two dogs (Wendy & Bevy appreciated your hospitality too!) We loved being so close to the beach and enjoyed kayaking on our last day here. It was great to be within walking distance of so many beautiful sights including the state park and sea lions! We also enjoyed the ping-pong table and the added bonus of Guitar Hero. : ) Thank you for your hospitality! We couldn't have asked for a better gateway to Morro Bay!

*RATING: POSITIVE BOOKING: 2 NIGHT What a wonderful place to enjoy the area. A great family gathering place. We enjoyed Hearst Castle, the beach and the food. Family time is so important and a place like Ocean's Breeze is so helpful to accommodate. We all had a good time, allowing us to come together from New Mexico, Iowa, Illinois and California.

*RATING: POSITIVE BOOKING: 2 NIGHT Our three days at the Morro Bay beach house were wonderful. We had families from San Jose, Winchester and Paso Robles California come together to enjoy the beach and the quaint surroundings of Morro Bay. On day one we explored Morro Rock and ate a great lunch at Bayside Cafe. On day two we spent the afternoon at Montana De Oro State Park. We collected rocks and shells and had a picnic lunch. At night we enjoyed the amenities the house has to offer including the BBQ, ping-pong and X-Box. Day three included a tour of the bay on an electric boat, kayaking and window shopping our way through downtown. We had a wonderful time on our family vacation! The city of Morro Bay and the house were inviting and welcoming. We will never forget our trip to the beach house!
