Love this place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the little red cabin. We are a family of four, and were very comfortable. The house is beautifully clean and pet friendly, our dog (nor children!) wanted to leave. We spent the weekend skiing at Bryce Resort, having huge fires in the outside fire pit and relaxing in the peace and quiet the cabin offers.

Great Cabin for Families!

We loved the cabin. It's great for families. We loved that there was a pack&play bed for our son & a booster seat. The kitchen was well stacked, it had even all kind of spices & oils in the cabinet. My daughter loved all the board games & puzzles & was delighted when she saw the kids room. There is a beautiful lake very close by, swimming pools, convenient store & ice cream place. It's a beautiful place to relax & unwind from all the stresses of the city.

Relaxing Country Cottage in the Woods

We just came back from a very enjoyable (although way too quick) weekend at this cabin. We found the cabin to be clean and neat and was well-stocked with many of the supplies you'd enjoy at home. We were also delighted to find a Pack'n'Play, toys and kids books in the 2nd bedroom for our baby to enjoy. The fireplace was great for relaxing and roasting marshmallows. Can't wait to come back in the summer so we can take the canoe up to Lake Laura.

Wonderful escape into the woods!

We had a lovely two days at this perfect little cabin in the woods! All the essentials were there for our stay, including split firewood out on the deck for a warm fire in the evenings. The owner was so nice to deal with - we'd definitely go back. Highly recommended!

This place is great! We had 2 people for the weekend, but it could comfortably sleep more. The owners were great to deal with, the cabin was immaculate, and the seclusion was exactly what we needed. This place is a perfect mix of rustic and convenience. We cant wait to return!

VERY RELAXING STAY!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cabin in the Woods. It is totally equiped with everything you need!! I made pizza one night, and figured that I'd have to cut it with a knife--I was wrong! There was a pizza wheel! It's cozy, comfortable, clean, affordable, and nestled in the woods, but close to Mount Jackson and the surrounding towns. The owner is wonderful and lives and works nearby, and she checked in with us after our arrival. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away and explore the Shenandoah Valley area. Go when it's cool at night so you can light the fireplace, relax and watch one of the many DVD's that are there!!

Fall Fun

We had a great time at the cabin! We enjoyed being able to take our dogs. The fireplace was wonderful! The cabin is in a beautiful setting and was pretty close to the Skyline Drive. The description wasn't quite accurate re: the cabin's features. There was no TV reception or washer/dryer. There were plenty of towels and linens. The owner is very nice and there are lots of nice little touches in the cabin.

Wonderful Cabin in the Woods

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this cozy cabin in the woods. It was situated far enough in the woods to be relaxing and peaceful, but still close to shopping, activities, etc. Everything we could ever need was already there, including a portacrib and high chair for our 1 year old. I would highly recommend this cabin for families with small children. We had a wonderful time!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin!!! We were pleased with the location, it was far enough away from everything that we were able to relax and have some solitude. At the same time, we were 30-45 minutes away from a Wal-Mart and plenty of food choices when we didn't want to cook. The cats loved it as well, they were right at home. It was wonderful to find the DVDs and games and even better that we did not have the TV to distract us from our romantic, relaxing weekend. The owner was a pleasure to deal with, kept in touch, and was very accommodating. She was prompt in responding and very kind. We look forward to our next stay at either of her cabins and highly recommend this listing to anyone wanting to get away. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

My family and I just spent the weekend at this delightful cabin. It was well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner was very pleasant and accomodating and the place was beauifully located and surrounded by trees so it was very private. It's rural enough so you feel like you are in touch with nature but close enough to town. We enjoyed the birds and deer that frequent the area. It's also very close to Bryce's ski resort. My daughter wanted to learn to ski and we spent the weekend at the mountain tubing and skiing. It's so family friendly. We also enjoyed exploring the little towns and shops closeby. I would highly recommend this place for a couple of family looking for a relaxing getaway.
