You will love the lake view from this 5 bedroom, 2 bath house located on a 65 acre lake in a private, gated community that sleeps up to 14. First floor includes kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area, family room with 47' HDTV, wood burning fireplace, pull out sleeper sofa, reading area, 1 bedroom with queen size bed & 1 full bath. Second floor includes 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, 1 bedroom with bunk bed, 1 bedroom with bunk bed and full size uton, 1 full bath, treadmill & desk w/ Internet hookups. Basement includes laundry room, pool table, and 15 ½ ft canoe. Deck has a gas grill (propane provided) and seating. Escape the cold and enjoy the the lake view from the 6 person hot tub. Walk to the private dock and beach in the back yard on the lake. Community includes pools, beaches, tennis, basketball courts and playgrounds. Close to skiing, water parks, casinos, Pocono NASCAR Raceway, horseback riding, outlet shopping, hiking and other attractions.

We had a great vacation at this property. It was completely as advertised in the website. Great view, plenty of space, and conveniently located to many activities outside the community. The property owners are conscientious and it was a pleasure renting from them.

family getaway

Overall, my family and I had a great weekend. The house had a gorgeous view of the lake from the very spacious great room and dining area. We especially loved the huge wrap around sofa and recliners. I was, however, a little disappointed in the smelly and brown colored hot tub. This is one of the things the kids are most excited about and frankly it was a little gross. I was also expecting more in the area of basic staples being provided. I've never been to any house, hotel or condo that didn't at least have a bit of toilet paper to start with. We had to go out and get our own dish soap, trash bags and laundry soap even though reading that those basic necessities were likely provided. The house was relatively clean, but the basement pretty rough.

Owner's reply:

We apologize for the issue with the hot tub. It was treated the day before arrival and was fine. I understand the kids went in the tub before you inspected it. Had we received a call to notify us of a concern we could have sent someone out immediately to address the issue. We are always available for renter concerns. We have since had the tub drained, sanitized, refilled and treated as a result of your concern. This is done on a regular basis. As I understand you still were able to enjoy the hot tub and its view of the lake.

Regarding toilet paper, dish soap, trash bags and such, we do communicate ahead of your stay that these things are not provided and you need to bring your own. To clarify about the basement it is unfinished but it is heated for comfort when you are using the pool table and laundry room.

In speaking with your sister in law about your experience she did say you had a wonderful time, which we are very happy about. Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback. We are always looking at ways to improve the house for renters comfort.

A great family weekend!

We rented this home for my Mom's 80th birthday weekend. There were 14 people and we all fit comfortably. It was nice to have different thermostats in each bedroom. The fireplace was wonderful and there was plenty of firewood available to us. The lake was frozen and great for skating so we skated right outside the back door all of Saturday and Sunday! We enjoyed skating around the entire lake and looking at the other homes from lakeside. Only two bathrooms was tight at times for 14 people but we managed well. Overall it was a great experience with a nice safe property run by caring, efficient people. There was plenty to do in the surrounding area but we just enjoyed the togetherness of family for the weekend. I would recommend this property for a great getaway.

Very Nice Getaway

I rented this cabin for a total of 10 adults to celebrate my husband's birthday for the weekend and it was such a great time. Just in case the group decided to head out one night, the owners were kind enough to provide me with local restaurants in the area, but we were so happy in the house that we never left. We all arrived at night so we immediately could appreciate how nice the inside of the house was, but to see the lake right outside the following morning was so beautiful. I would definitely rent this property again.

Family vacation 09

I have to admit when we arrived, I was a little taken back. I really appreciated the high security in entering the area, but when I arrived at the house, it was a disapointment. The ouside need a a little attention(pealing paint and lots of weeds) Inside it was clean and all was in order. I was surprised by the shape of some of the living room furnature. It was well used. The bedrooms are fine. We did have problems with fuses blowing if we had more than one thing going at the same time. We did have 12 people in the house, so that can happen. What I didn't like was the small lake on our back yard. It was not clean. We didn't find the clean one till Thurs. That was a disapointment, it rained in the morning and so they sent the lifeguards home, we wanted to swim and the guard was not nice, and explained we can't go in as there is not lifeguard on duty. As a overall review, I would say it was Ok. I just wish I had checked the area out better before I booked.

Tobyhanna Pocono Retreat

Beautiful lakefront property. Kids had a great time fishing. A little disappointed that Tobyhanna Park was not open yet. Not too far from Knoebel's and Lehigh Gorge Bike Trail if you like that sort of recreation. Enjoyed the hot tub. Kitchen was well stocked. Living area was very comfortable. Nice assortment of games and puzzles available.
