Reviews for this vacation home rental in Mount Shasta, California

This is a lovely, comfortable, spacious home on a quiet street. It's close to a community park and you can dip your toes in the creek that runs behind the property. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were luxurious. The owner lives close by and was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to relax

Beautiful charming home in small friendly town of McCloud. Close to river with boat access and not far from hiking at the falls. The view of Mt Shasta could be seen from upstairs window and great pictures of the Mt Shasta from near by park too. The house had plenty of space for our family of 8 and there was not to many step up to house so it was easy for my brother who uses a cane. The only issue we had is that washer was a little tricky, flooded over but owner responded quickly over the phone and had someone come and help us with it. We had a relaxing time on our Vacation in the McCloud home.

I think this might be the nicest rental I've ever stayed in. it was my first time to Mt. Shasta, and I didn't know what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised at home great this property was. I will definitely visit again.

House and furnishings were wonderful. View of Mt. Shasta was spectacular. Only thing that kept this from 5 stars was that we weren't fully prepared for snow, and so we were limited in things to do. Because of the snow, it would have been nice to have wireless internet access.
Wonderful home away from home

Had a great visit to my hometown of McCloud and so enjoyed this great house. The bedding was the most comfortable I had ever slept in. Loved the private backyard, relaxing porch area, and closeness to the park. We enjoyed a great family bbq and had everything we needed in the kitchen, plenty of room for our guests, and the kids enjoyed the kid area and many games they discovered our last night there. Do look around the house, there are many items I found on the last night that we could have been enjoying all along, like the games for the kids! The kids also enjoyed playing in the patio area and side yard. Will stay again and again.

The house was clean and well stocked with household amenities to make one feel at home, so one should look throughout (e.g. washer/dryer in garage) to be aware. It is the kind of place one would leave a few beers for the next guest - note the frosted glasses in the freezer. Weather was perfect for hiking and exploring the many lakes and waterfalls, and the top of Mt. Shasta was clear of clouds several times in 4 days. Great place to relax!
We enjoyed the house very much. We had several feet of snow during our stay. It was great! The roads were quickly lowed and we had no problems getting in or out. The house was warm and everything was absolutely great.
We'll be going back soon!

We had a very special Christmas in this beautiful home, this was an awesome experience. We would highly recommend this vacation rental. Our family has voted to do it again next year. Thank you for sharing your vacation home in Mc Cloud. The Horn Family
My family and a group of friends stayed at this property for Thanksgiving week this year and we could not have made a better decision. Not only does McCloud offer a perfect mix of relaxing/adventuring atmosphere, with it's perfect view of Mt Shasta and so many hiking and biking trails only a few minutes away, but, also, the moment you walk into the house you start to love it. It is an old house, like many others in the town (or city) but so nicely remodeled that makes you feel warm and welcome every minute you are there. It has a very large kichen area with a heating stove that keeps the entire house warm, day and night, and a large and comfortable living area. The 3 bedrooms are ample and comfortable too. The view of Mount Shasta from the house is already spectacular and biking around time ad nearby trail is also fun. I also like the fact that the ski park is only a few minutes away, so it is very convenient.
This is a wonderful property.Every detail of comfort was taken care of.Very friendly owners. It was like a dream house.Kitchen is fully equipped.Very thoughtful vegetable garden.House is very spacious and well maintained. Can't wait to enjoy another vacation in this property. It is very obvious the owners want their renters to feel very much at home.
My husband and I and our two young sons spent 4 days at this beautiful home in McCloud, CA and we could not have been more pleased with this lovely home. The house interior is very warm and spacious giving our sons plenty of room to play, and the kitchen too is especially large and well-equipped with a nice wood stove and all the ammenities- perfect for those special family meals. The cozy beds and comforters allowed us comfy restful nights and the location of the house being in such close vicinity to Mt.Shasta was perfect for allowing us to make the most of our days at the mountain. We also enjoyed several visits with our sons to the wonderful park and playground just a couple blocks away. I would definitely stay at this wonderful home again on any return trips to the area and would greatly recommend it for anyone considering accomodations in the greater Mount Shasta region.

A truly wonderful retreat! Everything top-notch - luxurious quality linens, super-comfy mattresses, a well-stocked and supplied kitchen, TV/cable/DVD. made our weekend a dream. And with the free wi/fi, we never wanted to leave! Can't wait to come back again...
