Description of the Mount Sterling vacation cabin rental
The lodge is warm and cozy while being spacious enough to allow any degree of privacy you choose.
It is rustic enough to please any outdoors person, while the tasteful décor and furnishings inspire comparison to the finest lodges in “Rocky Mountain ski country”.
There is a room to “wow” everyone. The great room features an open ceiling , 24 foot fireplace, and a great view of the 20 acre pond. The 15 x 50 deck has screened porch, fireplace, and a covered porch with an outdoor cook center.
The 1,200 acres setting will provide you with hours of enjoyment. Visitors may spend time fishing for bass and blue gill, observing local turkey and deer populations, bird watching, enjoying the native wild flowers or relaxing in the quite rural environment.

Short distance for day trips: Lincoln sites in Springfield and New Salem and Mark Twain Adventures in Hannibal MO.
In reach of local Universities.
For those flying into commercial airports, we are conveniently located 2 1/2 hours from the St Louis Missouri airport; 1 1/2 hours from the Springfield Illinois airport, and 45 minutes from Quincy Illinois airport.
For those flying on private aircraft, the Mt Sterling airport with its 5905 foot paved, lighted, all weather runway is 8 miles away.
