Description of the Murphy vacation cabin rental

Gorgeous, almost new, 2BR, 2BA cabin/chalet that sleeps 6. Beautiful wooded acreage for scenic year-round view. This home is beautifully and comfortably furnished and fully equipped for a wonderful vacation. Wireless internet lets you stay in touch. You won't want to leave.

Sorry, we do not allow pets.
Smoking is not permitted in the cabin.

Area Information

Cabin has great access with paved road to our driveway. It's very conveniently located close to "downtown" Murphy.

We're about halfway between the two major rafting rivers (Ocoee and Nantahala) -- only about 30 minutes to either one. Everything western North Carolina has to offer is an easy daytrip. Then you can return to Murphy and your cozy home to relax.

Comfortable and cozy

My sister and I spent Thanksgiving in your beautiful chalet. It was a perfect setting for a quiet get-away. The kitchen supplied what we needed for a full Thanksgiving dinner, the living room was comfortable for all the football games and both beds were fine. We are always on the lookout for a place with two equal bedrooms and your place worked so well for us. We spent a little time exploring Murphy and the area but we spent most of our days just relaxing in the chalet. We plan to come back in the spring to enjoy the wildflowers.

Very comfy cabin in the mountains!

What a wonderful five days my family of four spent at the Hummingbird cabin in Murphy, NC. It was way too warm for a fire in the fireplace, but the air conditioning was ice cold. Access to the cabin was off of a paved road about 2 miles from the four lane highway, so any type of vehicle will get you there with no problems. The water tasted great and there was plenty of pressure for showers. It was nice to come home with a suitcase full of clean clothes, since the cabin had a very modern washer and dryer. There was a beautiful, large deck that looked out on trees. There was plenty of privacy due to the thick amount of trees that surrounded the cabin. Although we didn't use it, there was a charcoal grill on the deck, with charcoal provided in the pantry. My wife and I stayed in the master room on the main floor, while our two teenage daughters stayed up in the loft, with it's own full bath. The kitchen came complete with anything you would need for cooking a full meal or light snacks. There was even a dishwasher. Probably my only disappointment, was when the morning came and we had to leave. Oh, yeah...did I mention the cabin has high speed wi-fi. At times we had three laptops going and it never sputtered. There are two flat screen TV's and one regular TV that must be on dish network, since you get so many channels. This was the perfect place for us to stay, and I can't wait to go back...hopefully this fall!

Fabulous Vacation

This chalet was fantastic it was close to the waterfalls. We went down the cherohala skyway that we found out about from info that was in the chalet. We had a wonderful time with my sister and her husband. I would recommend this chalet to anyone whom wants to get away from the stress of everday life or a very peaceful vacation. This place has everything that your own home has I would go back again and hope to soon.

All i have to say is this cabin was all it said it was....i was here with my girlfriend an her three kids (11-8-6)...location was alittle tricky to find since it was my first time in Murphy N.C...but i had my GPS which it help alot.....downtown murphy was only 5mins away, we spent some time in Bryson city (1hr15min away) to do some tubing....if ya go rent your tubes at JJ's the guys were nice & helping...then we went to franklin N.C and another place to check Cherokee N.C (Indian town) the place was very interesting since im very big on history and study about them when i was in high school.....all said in done i love our trip and we will be back! OH! and Lana was very helpful thank you!!!

A spacious and clean cabin nestled in the woods. Saw some deer, heard some birds had a wonderful and relaxing time. Murphy, NC is a laid-back town with lots of small town stores to visit. Town folk were friendly and helpful. A great place to vacation!

We couldn't have been more satisfied with our choice; it meet all of our expectations and more! The Chalet is located far enough from town to provide a rural enviornment; we saw deer in the woods; wild geese flew every morning to a pond; and we visited the horses that were nearby; but it's also convenient to all the surrounding areas that you would want to visit. We are going to make this Chalet our annual vacation spot; it's like our second home away from home!

The Ultimate

This cabin is the ultimate. We rent a cabin every couple of months for the past year or so, and this place topped all the others. It was so clean, Ms. Lana was so helpful with directions and things to do around the area, the home was well stocked with cooking utensils and dishes. What more could anyone ask for when on vacation. I would recommend this place to everyone. Again, I could not believe how clean the house was. There is not one thing that I can complain about. It was great. Thank you thank you, thank you.
