Murphy NC Cabin with free wi-fi
|Per night:||$75 - $80|
There is a bedroom and bathroom on each floor. Both bedrooms have comfortable queen-size beds. The loft bedroom also has a comfortable daybed with a pop-up trundle. These beds allow sleeping for up to 6 people without that uncomfortable sleeper sofa!
There are TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. There's a DVD player and a selection of movies in the living room.
The kitchen has everything you need: full size fridge, cooktop stove, over-the-stove microwave, dishwasher, all pots, pans, dishes, etc. There is a breakfast bar in addition to the dining table and chairs. The dining area overlooks the deck and the scenery beyond.
The gas fireplace is wonderful to take the chill out first thing in the morning or for that cozy evening.
There is a large deck in front of the cabin and a covered deck on the side of the cabin, complete with 2 rockers.
Free high-speed wireless internet. You can easily keep in touch with friends and family while at the cabin.
You won't want to leave. We have guests who return year after year.
Sorry, we do not allow pets.
Smoking is not permitted in the cabin.
We're about halfway between the two major rafting rivers (Ocoee and Nantahala) -- only about 30 minutes to either one. Everything western North Carolina has to offer is an easy day-trip. Then you can return to Murphy and your cozy home to relax.
We're close to a large flea market that's open on the weekends (Decker's Flea Market).
Murphy has many unique restaurants as well as the popular fast food restaurants.
There's a beautiful river-walk park called Konehete Park that has a walking path along the river and several benches and picnic tables. It's really nice and great photo-ops.

Reviews for this vacation cabin rental in Murphy, North Carolina
Great value for the money
December 2, 2014
This cabin is so clean and comfortable. . a bit far from things we wanted to do, but it is a great cabin that we hope to stay again and again. We will bring our bikes and kayak next time which will allow us more activities close to the cabin.
Chillin in the Mntns
September 29, 2013
The cabin was just a great place to stay. It is centrally located for daytime travels to the Smokies or the Blue Ridge Mnts in N GA. We trailered the motorcycles up and had good weather except for one day of rain. The road is paved up to the driveway then there is an uphill climb about 30ft on gravel getting you up to the flat parking area around the cabin. I would not recommend for the novice or faint of heart for the entry and exit for motorcycles. The cabin was well stocked with about everything needed, no cell phone service for my Att phone but my dad had Verizon and had no problem calling out. For some reason we never could get hooked into the wifi and we tried to call on the landline a couple times to local restaurants but could not get a connection. Beautiful area where the cabin is, well kept up community and the county roads and right of ways also kept up. Nice yogurt shop in Murphy where you can build your own dessert and Brothers Restaurant also pretty good, if you try them on the wknd prepare for a wait as everyone else knows about the great food and reasonable prices. Would recommend anyone looking to stay in this area to give Lana a call and book your stay, very nice cabin and great location!!
I'm glad these renters liked my cabin. The cabin is very nice and in a great location. The phones did go out sometimes when it rained, but have been fixed. Cell phone coverage is spotty in this rural area -- that's true anywhere here in the mountain area. I have Verizon and have no trouble. I also have no trouble with the internet. The only thing I can think is that the renters weren't using the correct username & password that I provided. All in all, sounds like a good visit.

My sister and I stayed in Lana's beautiful chalet over Thanksgiving and vowed to return. So we came back in July to experience it in a different season. The trees are so majestic and they make the chalet feel so private and sheltered. The chalet is so warm and inviting and comfortable -- good beds, nice furniture, well stocked kitchen, big TV and nice new grill. But the thing we enjoyed the most was the peaceful, quiet time in a lovely part of the country. Thank you, Lana!

Lana, what a great place. Thanks! Me and my two buddies had a blast staying at your place. Water pressure was incredible. Wished we could have stayed long. We will certainly be calling again. Thanks from the Road Dogs.
Very comfy cabin in the mountains!

What a wonderful five days my family of four spent at the Hummingbird cabin in Murphy, NC. It was way too warm for a fire in the fireplace, but the air conditioning was ice cold. Access to the cabin was off of a paved road about 2 miles from the four lane highway, so any type of vehicle will get you there with no problems. The water tasted great and there was plenty of pressure for showers. It was nice to come home with a suitcase full of clean clothes, since the cabin had a very modern washer and dryer. There was a beautiful, large deck that looked out on trees. There was plenty of privacy due to the thick amount of trees that surrounded the cabin. Although we didn't use it, there was a charcoal grill on the deck, with charcoal provided in the pantry. My wife and I stayed in the master room on the main floor, while our two teenage daughters stayed up in the loft, with it's own full bath. The kitchen came complete with anything you would need for cooking a full meal or light snacks. There was even a dishwasher. Probably my only disappointment, was when the morning came and we had to leave. Oh, yeah...did I mention the cabin has high speed wi-fi. At times we had three laptops going and it never sputtered. There are two flat screen TV's and one regular TV that must be on dish network, since you get so many channels. This was the perfect place for us to stay, and I can't wait to go back...hopefully this fall!
I love my renters! I love hearing that they enjoyed their stay in my cabin. I strive to ensure all my renters have the same experience. Bob sent me a personal email telling me what a great time they had and that they plan to come back. It was also nice that he went online to post a review. That just makes my day!

This chalet was fantastic it was close to the waterfalls. We went down the cherohala skyway that we found out about from info that was in the chalet. We had a wonderful time with my sister and her husband. I would recommend this chalet to anyone whom wants to get away from the stress of everday life or a very peaceful vacation. This place has everything that your own home has I would go back again and hope to soon.
Love this place!

Our Little Home Away From Home

The cabin was very cozy and accommodated our every need. We went out during the day and came back to enjoy serene evenings. We loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the birds and squirrels that came to visit. We stayed seven days and could easily stay longer if time allowed. Thanks for all the comforts of your home.

Our stay at this chalet was unforgettable. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a white Christmas at for the first time. The windows gave us the perfect view from any angle to appreciate how beautiful the snow was. We felt so comfortable as if we were in our own home. We strongly recommend this place for your vacation. A spacious and clean cabin nestled in the woods. Saw some deer, heard some birds had a wonderful and relaxing time. Murphy, NC is a laid-back town with lots of small town stores to visit. Town folk were friendly and helpful. A great place to vacation!
Totally worth it!

This cabin was just as described on the internet. It was a very homey atmosphere where one can get away and enjoy the beauty of God's Majesty. It is a great find in one of the most scenic places in the US. It was a wonderful place to spend our vacation.
HOME AWAY FROM HOME

We couldn't have been more satisfied with our choice; it meet all of our expectations and more! The Chalet is located far enough from town to provide a rural enviornment; we saw deer in the woods; wild geese flew every morning to a pond; and we visited the horses that were nearby; but it's also convenient to all the surrounding areas that you would want to visit. We are going to make this Chalet our annual vacation spot; it's like our second home away from home!

This Chalet Was Very Clean And Easy To Get To. It Was Well Worth What We Were Charged. I Felt The Price Was Very Reasonable. I Would Not Hesitate To Rent It Again. It Was Lovely.

This cabin is the ultimate. We rent a cabin every couple of months for the past year or so, and this place topped all the others. It was so clean, Ms. Lana was so helpful with directions and things to do around the area, the home was well stocked with cooking utensils and dishes. What more could anyone ask for when on vacation. I would recommend this place to everyone. Again, I could not believe how clean the house was. There is not one thing that I can complain about. It was great. Thank you thank you, thank you.
