Description of the Murphy vacation cabin rental

Our beautiful log cabin has all the amenities to ensure your will enjoy a very comfortable stay. The main living area is in the upper level. It presents an open floor plan with living room (with gas fireplace,) dining room, and fully equipped kitchen, as well as two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lower level presents a sitting room (with electric fireplace,) TV viewing area (42" flat screen TV; Direct TV,) laundry area, one bedroom and one bathroom.

Located in the small subdivision called "Country Walk III," the private gravel road leads you to the steep, concrete-paved driveway. Beautiful, serene mountain views are observed from the front porch. Most mornings, you will wake up surrounded by mist, hence the name "Peaceful Log Cabin in the Clouds."

Area Information

Murphy is located minutes from the famed John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC. A few minutes to the west of Murphy you will find Ocoee River, TN, where you can enjoy whitewater rafting. There are several hiking trails within minutes from town.
Within a half-hour drive, you will find the Cherohala Skyway, a beautiful scenic drive, or the Nantahala Lake, where you can enjoy fishing, or just float the day away.
An hour's drive will take you to the town of Cherokee and the Museum of the Cherokee Indian. About two hours' drive will take you to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Murphy offers as much as you would like to do. Or as little, if that is your preference.
