Disappointed with owners response

January 7, 2013

We rented this home for the New Year's Weekend. Arrived on Friday night and the owner left the key for our late arrival. House is beautiful and well stocked. We left the home exactly how we found it. Problem is, after I left the owner an email thanking her for the rental and letting her know we left the key under the mat, she responds that she is very disappointed that we brought our chocolate lab and says the home is not pet friendly. Now the owner lives in the development and could have come to see us anytime. We at no time tried to hide our dog, my husband walked her several times a day. She is 7 years old, perfectly groomed, and sleeps all day. I emailed the owner back to say that No Pets is nowhere to be found on her listing and that if it was we would not have been so rude to ignore that. We would have either rented another home or left our lab at home. I am waiting a response to my last email demanding my $200 deposit back...Owner claims now she will have to do linens...wish I knew she didn't change linens between rentals before I sent my check.

Wedding Bake Station

November 2, 2012

The chalet was awesome. We had ample room and comfort. We needed to bake 16 pies for my nieces wedding and were able to do so with no problem while staying here and enjoying the view while we were baking. Our neighbors were wonderful and very friendly. I liked that the roads to get up to the house were wide enough that if two cars were on the same road there was enough room for passage. Went to other areas while we were there and didn't have that luck of passage space. Everything was clean and having utensils and cooking supplies as well as laundry facilities made it that much more desirable. I hope to be able to get away and utilize this location again. I have told my family all about this location and and showed them the many pictures I took, they thought it was a wonderful place as well. I loved sitting out on the deck to watch the clouds roll in over the mountains. I can't say enough about the comfort and beauty. I look forward to the day that I can return for another stay.

Awesome

August 27, 2010

I will be back. Great having coffee early in the morning looking in all directions for miles and miles from the deck of the basement the main room and the loft, I could see this great view from my bed. I could see a lake from the loft looking South do not the name of it but it is in Georgia just a few minutes away, they have pontoon and jet skies rental and I hear the fishing is great. Humming birds, turkeys, deer. Very comfortable beds, did not want to get out of the bed. Awesome.
