Description of the Murphy vacation home rental
Situated on the banks of the beautiful Nottely River, you will find our place a relaxing place from everyday life. Just sit on the porch to enjoy the river in a partially-secluded area. The Nantahala Forest is directly across the river. The house has a queen-size bed in the master bedroom upstairs with a bath and 2 bedrooms and one bath downstairs. Twin beds are in one bedroom and a full-size bed in the other. The sofa turns into a comfortable queen-size bed and there is a queen-size blowup mattress there for use. Kitchen is furnished with everything you need -except your groceries!
Area Description
This particular area is ideal for four-wheelers and close-by are golf courses, whitewater rating, hiking trails, mountain biking trails and ATV trails. Of course, we respect other homeowners in the area for four-wheelers in the neighborhood.
Close by is the Cherohala Skyway. Ride the "Tail of the Dragon" through Deal's Gap, a known roadway for motorcyclists. Visit the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest and take a drive through the country-side for post card views.
Neaby cities to check out: Blue Ridge, GA (great shopping town), Ellijay, GA, - Apple Capital of Georgia (Mercier's Orchards), Dahlonega, GA - home of The Smith House (family-style restaurant). Downtown Murphy has shops, restaurants and even a flea market on Tuesdays. There are twin flea markets not too far for weekend shoppers. You are also within two (2) hours from Atlanta, Chattanooga (TN), and Asheville (NC).
Great restaurants in the area - go to Bryson City, NC, and take the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad to the Nantahala Outdoor Center. A beautiful trip you won't want to miss.
