Description of the Murphys vacation home rental

Enjoy your vacation in comfort and style with this beautiful 3 Bedroom - 2 Bath home with almost 2000 square feet of living space, located in the spectacularly beautiful Forest Meadows Golf Resort, a private gated community with an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The private community of Forest Meadows includes picnic areas, tennis courts, private hiking trails, and 2 swimming pools.

This new home (just built last year!) is fully furnished and includes many outstanding amenities, including a few that are not usually offered for a typical vacation rental:

• New 32” TVs in both the spacious Great Room and the Master Bedroom
• Extended Cable channel package and DVD players for both TVs
• Free WIFI internet access throughout the house
• Digital phone service, allowing FREE unlimited calls to anywhere in the US
• Large kitchen with huge amount of counter space and walk-in pantry
• All brand-new appliances, including a washer and dryer
• Central air-conditioning and heating
• Large master bedroom with a large master bathroom and closets
• Complete set of cooking utensils and plenty of dishes, glasses, and silverware
• Comfortably sleeps up to 10 people (bunk beds in one room, pull-out sofa couch)
• Telescope for viewing the stars at night!

The house is not stocked with any food, so you’ll need to bring your own, of course – and we ask that you please take any of your unused food when you leave.

All the beds have their own bedding – sheets, covers, pillows – and plenty of towels are available for showering.

The downtown area of Murphys is very quaint, with numerous restaurants, shops, and wineries (lots of wineries!). You can check out some of the features of Murphys Downtown to see some of the interesting things to experience and do in the Murphys area.

One of the most popular wineries in Murphys is Ironstone Vineyards, where they also have a very popular set of outdoor concerts - be sure to check out the Ironstone Vineyards 2009 Concert Series for the schedule of events!

Murphys is also located near several interesting areas, including a couple of fun caverns (like Moaning Caverns) - and a new addition to Moaning Caverns is a really fun Zip Line - Moaning Caverns is just a quick 15-minute drive from our Murphys house.

For some really fun summertime activities, be sure to check out the New Melones Dam Recreation area - you can rent a variety of different kinds of boats or water craft and various water toys - then spend a very relaxing day on the lake.

Additionally, our Murphys house in Forest Meadows is only 40 minutes from Bear Valley Ski Area. Bear Valley is a wonderful ski area, with a lot of new lifts, new owners, small crowds, and great skiing and snowboarding!

Another lesser known fact about Bear Valley is their fabulous Bear Valley Music Festival, which will be held this year from July 25 through August 9 - be sure to the Bear Valley Music Festival Schedule of Events to see the various acts that will be playing during this time.

Another site that you really need to see in the Murphys area is the new Copperopolis Town Square, a brand new "old-fashioned town square", built to resemble something from the late 1800's and early 1900's.

And, of course, we are in the fabulous Forest Meadows Golf Resort area - if you are partial to golf, this is a great course!
