Sunshine PEI
July 23, 2012
We were a party of three, 2 adults and a teen-ager. We had a good time in the sunshine and on the beach. The cottage lived up to our expectations with spacious living room, master bedroom as well as the kitchen. We also discovered beachs such as Basin Head and Georgetown. I was also very satisfied for the use of the washer and dryer. He probably would have liked on option, such as the local news with the TV set. We also had a treat from the neighbour behind the cottage, our strawberry cake was excellent.

Amazing
January 18, 2012
This is the first time my wife and I have booked a cottage through Vacation Home Rentals; and we could not have been happier with the cottage and location. We were looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation away from the touristy part of the island. The cottage was just as we imagined it based on the information and pictures provided by the owner. It was a short drive to a clean and quiet beach and close to many island activities. We spent a couple days driving to the other points of interest on the island and were always happy to see the cottage upon our return. It was super clean and had everything that we needed to have a great vacation (as we cooked and ate fresh seafood just about every night). The local restaurant was a very short walk away and had great food and incredible service We are already planning our next trip to the island and will be contacting Paul to rent the cottage again. Thanks for the great hospitality and the super cottage.

Fall 2011

An absolutely amazing visit to PEI based out of this comfortable, tastefully decorated home away from home was a dream for us. Quiet, quaint and perfectly suited to us. The neighbourhood restaurant, Brehaut's was a short walk with terrific food and friendly, helpful staff. We put approximately 1500 km on our rental car and were able to see everything we wanted from our base at Murray River. The beaches, ocean drives and even the back roads were scenic. The pride shown in the yard care and the cleanliness of every neighbourhood stood out as a highlight. No honking horns, only one siren in a whole week, just a comfortable calm and tranquill place to visit. Everyone has time for everyone! We will be back, you can count on it!!

Fall Visit
October 5, 2010
A great place to stay, and while it takes some time to adjust to the slower pace of life, well worth it. Very nice house with top quality finishing, in a nice friendly village. Highly rated restaurant a few blocks away with great fish fish chowder. Short drives to many other destinations, including some prestine beaches. About 1 hour from the capital. Owner and local managers are great guys.

Very Relaxing
August 14, 2010
As this was my first time in PEI, I had no idea what to expect from Murray Harbor and the rental, but was completely delighted to find a small, clean, beautifully renovated home in a picturesque fishing village. From the house it's a short walk to Brehaut's (a fantastic local restaurant with a great seafood chowder and homemade desserts), Butler's (a convenient general store) and a local library with new computers and speedy internet access. Point Prim and Guernsey Cove were local highlights. The people who manage the property were wonderfully helpful and welcoming-- all in all it's an experience I plan to repeat next summer.

Comfortable house in a charming fishing village
August 8, 2010
My husband and I chilled out for almost a week in this nicely renovated quaint house in Murray Harbour, PEI. On the plus side: single storey heritage home, comfortable accommodations, modern kitchen with everything we needed to make ourselves at home. Murray Harbour itself is a charming village and has a great, local diner-style restaurant. We were close to bike paths, beaches and lighthouses on the Eastern side of PEI. The Point Prim lighthouse was a highlight. The location is about 45 minutes from Charlottetown and an hour from the tourist zoo and beaches of Cavendish. The only downside (depending on what you're looking for) is that the eastern side of PEI is much less developed for tourism than the centre of the island. Good restaurants were a bit tricky to find, though Charlottetown has lots to offer.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful house in a pristine harbor. It was ready with every convienence we would need. Beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The neighbors even left us fresh strawberries one morning.
